"Wow! President Holden, your chef is so thoughtful! He's not trying to woo you, is he?" Lily Sullivan asked in surprise.
"Don't be silly, he's already taken." Ivy Holden glanced at the congee and sighed. "Our Mr. June must have called to place this special order. I can't really stomach congee. I'll go make some coffee—Mr. Vance, is Blue Mountain coffee okay?"
"That would be perfect," Sawyer Vance said with a smile and a nod.
Of course, making coffee wasn't something Ivy Holden had to do herself. Right on cue, Irving Jacobs brought in three cups of coffee—one each for Shauna Vance, Ivy Holden, and June Grant.
After taking a sip of his coffee, Sawyer Vance got down to business. "Mr. Holden, we're here today not just to deliver an invitation, but also to discuss an endorsement. My wife and I both feel that your public image is a perfect fit for Nellie Home, so we're hoping you'll be our spokesperson."
