Thinking of Polly Phelps, Clementine Chambers sighed. "It's not my fault. I had a film role all lined up, and then Harlan snatched it away. I mean, Harlan is just a model! And he's Lindsay Walsh's sloppy seconds! What gives him the right..."
"Harlan is with Trion now," Cassie Aldrin sneered. "This whole thing with the film contract—they're targeting us! Snatching roles! Snatching variety show spots! Snatching endorsements! They're snatching everything!"
"There's someone else who's fuming after being squeezed out by Lady Eden," Clementine Chambers said suddenly.
"Who?" Cassie Aldrin asked immediately.
"Lindsay Lane. She was smeared for a long time over an endorsement for a slimming product. From what I know, not long after that whole thing blew up, Ivy Holden acquired a stake in the company."
"That's utterly despicable!" Cassie Aldrin cursed angrily.
