"Go check on them!" Lin Nan finally said with a helpless sigh.
The man nodded. "Yes, we've already secured them. I've also sent men to check everyone else to make sure no one slipped through the cracks."
This was what every base feared most.
Everyone knew that if you were injured by a zombie, you would be "dealt with." Even if you weren't, the outcome was inevitable.
But some people would cling to a sliver of hope, or to put it another way, they were just selfish.
This kind of thing wasn't uncommon in the apocalypse. People would hide their zombie-inflicted injuries, go home, and then, after turning, end up killing their own families.
What was worse, if they turned in a crowded area, the resulting scratches would cause an even bigger problem, spreading the infection exponentially.
