"Feeling wronged?" Seth Sinclair lowered his head slightly and asked by her ear.
"No." Lianne kept her eyes fixed on the carp in the lake as she answered him. "There's nothing to feel wronged about."
Seth Sinclair chuckled softly, then lowered his head and rested it in the crook of her shoulder. "Mad at me?"
"I'm not mad." Lianne's mind was a mess, but she calmly raised a hand to push his head away.
'She was just mulling over the documents Quinn Preston had shown her.'
'If Yvonne Caldwell really is my mother, did she forget about my father and me, or is she deliberately pretending not to know us, acting like a stranger?'
'But if Yvonne Caldwell isn't my mother, then what about the bracelet? It was made from the jade Mrs. Caldwell left behind when she passed. She wouldn't have just given that away to anyone.'
