"Dad..." Rosalind Lowell was a bit flustered. 'I can't just tell my father-in-law that Alaric Davenport and I haven't even consummated our marriage, can I?'
Dexter Davenport laughed heartily. "You're both still young. These things should happen naturally. I'll be thrilled if you just have the time and energy to focus on it."
Forcing a smile, Rosalind Lowell had no choice but to agree. "I understand. We'll do our best."
Dexter Davenport nodded, sounding a bit wistful. "If Tanya were here to see this, she'd be overjoyed."
Rosalind didn't know who he was talking about, but she could sense his subtle sorrow.
"All right, you two do your best. An old man like me can still wait."
Alaric Davenport came downstairs just in time to hear the two of them laughing. He was somewhat surprised, wondering what on earth she and his father were so happy talking about.
When Rosalind Lowell returned to the room, Alaric Davenport followed close behind.
