Michael nodded. "Thank you for understanding my affection. But I won't pressure you now. I will wait for the day you are truly ready to accept it."
Rosalind Lowell maintained a polite smile and teased, "Are you reading from a script?"
"Not at all. This is all from the heart."
They chatted as they made their way to the classroom, where they saw their professor speaking with an unfamiliar man.
After a little while, the professor began the class. When it was over, they asked her alone to stay behind.
She glanced toward the door and saw Michael was still waiting for her.
"Professor, what is it?"
"There's a director who was quite taken with your appearance..."
Rosalind listened quietly, her heart starting to pound. 'Surely a university like this doesn't have a casting couch, does it?'
'Even at a proper, prestigious university?'
