Aidan propped his head up with one hand, drumming his fingers on the tabletop with the other.
Lin Jingjing looked at him, unsure of what to say for a moment.
She didn't dwell on it, simply picking up the snacks from the table and starting to eat.
'He paid for them anyway,' she thought. 'It'd be a waste not to eat.'
Lin Jingjing grabbed a bag of snacks, tore it open, and popped one into her mouth. After a bite, she found it was quite good—crispy and especially fragrant.
Just then, the table behind them was occupied by a group of four: three men and one woman.
They looked at the food in front of them and immediately started complaining. "What the hell is the logistics department doing? Serving up this garbage and still charging us for it."
"We'd be better off not eating at all."
"Exactly. It's disgusting."
Although they were complaining about how bad the food was, their hands, holding chopsticks, didn't slow down one bit. In fact, they kept shoveling food into their mouths.
