Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 : The Spatial Fabric

When Dan raises his concentration to its absolute peak, he feels it. A network.

It is not like his own personal network—the sensory technique he developed to detect movement and life. This... is something entirely different. Threads. Horizontal and vertical, arranged in perfect alignment. A three-dimensional fabric that fills everything. Organized, precise, as if built with meticulous geometric care.

He focused deeper with his heightened senses and noticed the minute details. The threads themselves are not continuous, solid lines. Rather, they are composed of very small points. Or more accurately, like nodes. Each thread is a chain of interconnected nodes, so close to one another that they appear as a single line.

And the nodes themselves... it is as if they are pulsating.

Everything in the world exists within this network. The trees around him, their trunks and leaves. The distant river, its flowing water. The ground beneath his feet. The air he breathes. Even Dan himself. His body, every cell within it, exists inside this network.

He closed his eyes, continuing to focus. He tried to understand it. What does it mean? Why is he feeling it now? He spent days trying to deduce its nature. He concentrated, felt it, and observed its pattern. He attempted to grasp its essence.

Then, he wrote his observations:

The network exists everywhere. It does not move. It is stationary.

The threads are regular. The distance between each node and the next is always equal.

Everything physical lies within it. Nothing is outside of it.

He paused. He stared at the words. Then, a bold idea struck him.

This network is not something separate from the world. It is space itself. The spatial fabric of reality. The threads? The fabric of space. The fundamental structure upon which physical existence is built. The small nodes? They would be... spatial nodes. The points from which space is formed. The basic building blocks of the universe.

He wrote quickly:

The Network = Space itself

The Threads = Spatial Fabric

The Nodes = Fundamental Spatial Units

It was a daring conclusion. But it was logical. If it were true, then it meant... Dan could feel the very structure of spatial reality itself.

Dan knows that in this world, there are very rare abilities. Among them: Space-Time Ninjutsu. Techniques that manipulate distance, transport objects instantaneously, and create portals between two points. Extremely rare, supernatural powers. One character in particular stuck in his mind: Namikaze Minato. The Flying Thunder —the legendary teleportation technique invented by the Second Hokage, which the Fourth Hokage of Konoha would later master.

Minato is talented. He possesses a special, exceptional talent for dealing with space and time. But Dan remembers an important thing: not everyone has this talent. In the future, ordinary ninjas will use spatial storage scrolls. They store weapons, gear, even food in them. Convenient and practical. But this is only possible because of the Fuinjutsu used in creating the scrolls. The seals create a small internal space, an artificial void linked to reality. The ninjas do not feel space itself; they merely use a ready-made tool.

The difference is clear. Using a ready-made scroll = anyone can do it. Feeling the spatial fabric and manipulating it directly = an extremely rare talent. Like Minato. Or Uchiha Obito with the Kamui eye. Or Tobirama Senju. They are exceptional geniuses.

The question now, the puzzling question: How is Dan currently able to feel the spatial network?

Without a doubt, he did not possess this talent before. Never. In his past decades of training and years of development, he never felt it once. Even with his Kekkei Genkai, and the Vitality Seal, with all his enhancements—nothing. But now... he feels it clearly.

When did it begin? He reviewed his memory with precision. The first time he felt it... was months ago. After years of applying the technique of nourishing the brain with medical chakra. The connection is clear. Brain Enhancement → Perception of the Spatial Fabric.

But how? The enhanced brain gave him stronger senses, better control, and supernatural processing speed. But a spatial talent? Talent is something innate, usually hereditary. It cannot be acquired through training. Or... perhaps it can?

Dan thought deeply. What if spatial talent is not something entirely separate, but rather a very high cognitive ability? What if some people, like Minato, are born with brains that can naturally perceive the spatial fabric? An innate sixth sense? And if so... what if Dan, by enhancing his brain to a supernatural level, unlocked this perceptual ability artificially? Not as an innate talent, but as an acquired ability through developing the brain to a degree that far surpasses ordinary humans.

The hypothesis was logical, though unconfirmed. He wrote:

Hypothesis: Spatial Talent = Extremely high perceptual ability

Enhanced Brain → Super-perceptual awareness → Feeling the Spatial Fabric

It needed confirmation, but it explained the phenomenon. He tried something. He closed his eyes and concentrated. He felt the network around him. Then he tried... to touch it. He extended his consciousness, trying to interact with one of the nearby spatial nodes.

Nothing. It was as if he were trying to grasp the air. He tried again, with even greater focus. Nothing. The network exists, he feels it, but he cannot influence it. He stopped and sighed.

Feeling it is the first step. Manipulating it? That is an entirely different step. Minato does not just feel the network. He can interact with it, bend space, and create instant links between two points. Dan currently... is just an observer. He sees, but he cannot touch.

Perhaps he needs further development. Perhaps after applying the direct seal to the brain, he will become capable of interaction. Or perhaps he needs a completely different approach. He does not know.

He wrote:

Currently: Perception only. No interaction.

Future Goal: Attempting to manipulate the spatial fabric.

It needed deeper research. A long time. But even mere perception... was a massive achievement. How many people in this world can feel the spatial fabric? Ten? Twenty? In all of history? They are extremely rare. And Dan is now one of them. Not by innate talent, but by his own effort. By developing his brain to a level no one has reached before.

He felt a little proud, but also cautious. This ability... He looked at the sky from the laboratory window. The night was quiet, the stars shining bright. The spatial network exists there too. It extends to the sky, to the horizon, perhaps to the entire universe. The fabric of reality. And Dan can feel it.

The possibilities... are infinite. If he could one day manipulate it... instantaneous teleportation, creating small dimensions, perhaps even freezing space itself. A power that surpasses anything he has achieved so far.

But that is for the future. A distant future. Now? He is just learning. Feeling. Understanding. Step by step.

He closed the manuscript, placed it in its designated spot, and left the laboratory. Tomorrow, he will continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible. As usual.
