In truth, from the very moment Dan encountered the Ōtsutsuki, his extraordinary mind began operating at its absolute limit, constructing a complete and flawless strategy for dealing with this threat and eliminating it entirely without leaving behind any risks or vulnerabilities that might create problems in the future.
In less than one-thousandth of a second, every possible method of containing and eradicating the threat was analyzed. Every available option was evaluated according to its effectiveness, its level of safety, and the possibility of leaving behind any traces or evidence that could later be tracked. At the end of this rapid sequence of calculations, the optimal chain of actions was selected to ensure the desired outcome while leaving behind the smallest possible amount of risk. Thus, before the Ōtsutsuki even launched his attack, Dan had already completed his entire three-part plan and had begun executing its very first step.
The first part of the plan was to deny the Ōtsutsuki any opportunity to attack at all. Dan employed an extremely powerful space-time technique, one of the greatest techniques he had ever developed. It was built upon the same fundamental concept as his Space-Time Seal, which allowed instantaneous travel by manipulating the spatial network while simultaneously folding space and time together.
However, this offensive technique went far beyond simple teleportation. Instead of transporting himself through space, he folded both space and time toward a specific future chosen from countless possible futures that could arise from his present actions. In other words, he could select a future in which he had already performed a certain action and move directly to the exact point in space and time where that action had already taken place.
That was precisely what he had done against the Ōtsutsuki. He selected one possible future . the future in which he had already driven his twin daggers into the alien's heart and moved directly to that future instant, bringing it into the present before the Ōtsutsuki could even comprehend what was happening.
That was also why the Ōtsutsuki experienced such overwhelming confusion during his final moments. He felt as though he himself had successfully pierced Dan, yet the reality before him was the exact opposite. In truth, what the Ōtsutsuki experienced was neither an illusion nor a mistake. From one perspective, it had genuinely happened. In another possible future that Dan had not chosen, the alien had indeed struck him. But because Dan selected the future in which he was the one delivering the fatal blow, the actual course of events manifested differently, creating the bewildering contradiction that left the Ōtsutsuki unable to understand what had happened.
The second part of the plan began at the exact instant the daggers pierced their target. Dan activated the Purification Seal, an ability he had developed through his understanding of what he called the Law of Fracture . his interpretation of natural energy, its underlying principles, and the inversion of its mechanism. This seal erased everything unnatural and supernatural, restoring anything it touched to a state governed solely by the four fundamental laws of physics.
That was exactly why the Ōtsutsuki instantly lost all of his extraordinary power and supernatural abilities, becoming nothing more than an ordinary living creature. The immense energy accumulated within his body through thousands of years of devouring planets, the supernatural abilities that defined his alien race, and the overwhelming superiority that had made him believe himself above every other being in existence . all of it vanished within seconds.
The reason Dan chose to incorporate the Purification Seal into his attack was simple. He wished to eliminate every possible ability the Ōtsutsuki might possess that could allow him to survive, escape, or discover an unforeseen method of avoiding death. Dan did not trust that merely stabbing a being of this level would be sufficient to kill it. From his perspective, the safest approach was to first eliminate every supernatural element from the equation before proceeding to the following stages.
The third and final part of the plan was the complete annihilation of both the Ōtsutsuki and the planet itself, together with the Chakra Tree rooted upon its surface. The objective was absolute eradication and removing every trace capable of revealing the alien's existence or what had occurred there. Dan did not simply destroy the planet with a straightforward blow, despite being capable of shattering it with little more than a single punch. Instead, he crushed it, melted it apart, and reduced it to an expanding cloud of cosmic dust together with the alien's corpse and the accursed Chakra Tree until nothing remained that could reveal their origin, their nature, or what had happened.
Even that, however, was not the final step of the operation. Before departing, Dan manipulated the flow of time throughout that region of space itself, concealing every trace of his movements and his presence within the star system before leaving it forever. He had no intention of relying upon luck or leaving behind even the smallest uncertainty.
He simply did not know the true extent of the Ōtsutsuki Clan's abilities or the full limits of their power. Everything that had appeared in the original story he had once watched in his previous world had been incomplete and shrouded in mystery, revealing only a tiny fragment of a far greater picture whose true scale remained unknown.
For that reason, he always considered one possibility with complete seriousness . that even Shibai Ōtsutsuki, who had been described in the original story as possessing mythical levels of power, might not actually be the strongest among them and might not represent the highest level that this alien civilization was capable of producing. After all, they were a civilization whose very nature revolved around devouring planets and civilizations for thousands upon thousands of years in order to grow stronger. Who could truly know what unimaginable horrors their oldest and most experienced members possessed somewhere within the distant reaches of the universe?
