This accelerated passage of time was a fundamental part of the world's design and purpose, allowing thousands of years of training to pass inside while only a few years elapsed outside.
However, that very advantage also carried with it a serious practical problem that could not be ignored. He needed to create a mechanism capable of selectively nullifying this effect upon them, because their current finite lifespans would not allow them to fully benefit from the accelerated flow of time without paying an enormous price. One of his children might spend only a few years in the outside world, yet those same years would correspond to thousands of years inside the Inner World, meaning they would age rapidly and exhaust their lifespan.
This was a fundamental issue. It was impossible to simply allow the family to experience the accelerated flow of time without modification, because in that case the Inner World would become nothing less than a temporal trap for everyone except Dan, whose extraordinary lifespan placed him beyond such concerns.
Therefore, he needed to modify the world's internal laws in a precise and selective manner, enabling it to recognize the unique biological signature of his family and bloodline whenever they entered. The world would then automatically exempt them from the accelerated temporal effect without altering any other aspect of their experience. In other words, members of the Walt family would experience time inside the Inner World at exactly the same rate as in the outside world, enjoying every challenge, adventure, and opportunity the world offered without their lifespans being consumed at an accelerated pace.
The technical challenge involved was both immense and extraordinarily complex. The task was not simply to alter a single law governing the Inner World, but rather to add a sophisticated selective layer capable of identifying specific individuals and applying a localized exception to them without affecting the world's remaining laws or altering the experiences of anyone outside the Walt bloodline. Such a system would require a highly precise mechanism of recognition and identification, operating continuously and automatically in the background without requiring manual activation every time someone entered.
This exemption, however, would only be temporary. As the members of his family continued to grow stronger through training, their lifespans would gradually increase as well. Eventually, even under the influence of the Casimir Effect, they would no longer be endangered by accelerated time, because spending thousands of years training within the Inner World would represent only a relatively small portion of their vastly extended lives.
Furthermore, once he successfully completed the Sixth Vitality Seal and stabilized its operation, he would modify his own DNA in a way that biologically enhanced all of his descendants, solving the problem at its very foundation. At that point, there would no longer be any need to exempt them from the accelerated Casimir Effect, since their greatly extended lifespans would be more than sufficient to allow them to remain inside the Inner World and train there indefinitely without concern. But this permanent solution depended entirely upon completing the Sixth Vitality Seal first, a project that would require approximately two hundred years at the very least.
Thus, for the first generation of his children who would soon begin exploring the Inner World, this temporary mechanism would serve as the necessary solution. He had already decided that his daughter Sophia would be the first member of the family to experience it, allowing her to completely unleash her potential. He especially expected her to enter an age of chaos, one filled with countless extraordinary and primordial creatures, where humanity would occupy the very bottom of the food chain. It would be an era of madness and darkness . precisely the kind of world that suited her perfectly and would allow her to fight without restraint.
Before that, however, the temporal exemption mechanism had to be completed and fully stabilized. That was the problem occupying his thoughts now. Everything he had accomplished in constructing the Inner World so far had been remarkable, yet without this final missing piece, the project remained incomplete in his eyes.
Dan closed the scroll before him as he contemplated the equations that would be required to construct this selective temporal exemption system. The problem itself was already perfectly clear in his mind, and the solution existed somewhere among those equations and natural laws. It would require time, precision, and unwavering concentration but those three things had never been in short supply for him.
