Chapter 292 - Chapter 292 : Strike

The five warriors approached the enormous vessel, which resembled a colossal mountain of steel. They sensed the presence of more enemies hidden within, lying in wait behind its metallic walls, prepared to spring a surprise ambush.

Then the massive armored warrior carrying the shield made a small hand gesture. The others immediately stepped back several paces, giving him enough room to assume his offensive position.

The shield-bearing warrior then extended his other arm , the one wrapped in heavy chains. The chains loosened and hung downward, producing a faint metallic clatter before he began spinning them faster and faster in front of himself. It looked as though he were conjuring a storm around his body. The chains emitted a piercing whine as they sliced through the air at incredible speed, and as their velocity increased, their properties began to change. A blazing aura enveloped them, and their color shifted from dull silver-gray to a brilliant yellow, until they resembled a giant serpent forged from living fire.

He stepped back slightly, drew his arm behind him like a slingshot being pulled to its limit, and fixed his cold gaze upon the massive vessel before him through the visor of his silver helmet, as though calculating every last meter of distance. Every muscle in his gigantic body was stretched tight like a fully drawn bowstring.

Then, in a decisive instant, he hurled the chain with overwhelming force. It shot forward like a missile, its length extending suddenly as it tore through the air with a shrill whistle that nearly deafened the ears, racing straight toward the massive vessel.

BOOOOOOOM!

A thunderous explosion erupted, shaking the ground beneath everyone's feet. Small rocks were hurled in every direction by the force of the impact, while flames and molten sparks burst from the point of collision. The strike was so unimaginably powerful that the colossal vessel, which resembled an impregnable fortress, split cleanly into two halves. The two sections separated and crashed to the ground with a deafening impact, triggering another violent tremor like a small earthquake. Even more astonishing was the tremendous heat carried by the chain , it had melted the vessel's metal at the point of impact, leaving the severed edges glowing and dripping streams of molten steel.

The destruction did not end with splitting the vessel apart. At the same time, the attack annihilated many of the enemies hiding inside, leaving them with no opportunity to escape. Some were crushed outright as the chain tore through the metal walls. Others were incinerated by the unimaginable heat radiating from it. Still others were hurled out by the explosions, only to crash lifeless onto the ground. Within mere seconds, what had once been a fortress had become nothing more than a mass grave.

Having completed his task, the warrior swiftly retracted the chain. It gradually shortened back to its original length while cooling, then coiled itself neatly around his arm once more. Without speaking a single word, he gestured for the rest of the squad to advance. They moved forward together in a straight line toward the enormous wreckage, from which thick black smoke billowed into the sky alongside the pungent smell of scorched metal.

As the smoke rose around them, two of the warriors drew massive swords from compartments built into their armor. Another retrieved the heavy axe mounted upon his back, while the fourth drew his combat knife. Together they advanced toward the shattered remains of the vessel, where several enemies had survived the initial strike and were only beginning to recover from the shock. Some struggled to crawl out from beneath the twisted metal debris, while others attempted to squeeze through shattered windows. The Lone Wolves gave them no chance whatsoever. They methodically eliminated every survivor with ruthless efficiency, each warrior moving toward a different group and dispatching them with precise blows that cleaved their bodies cleanly in half.

The scene was horrifying, yet meticulously organized. It was less a battle than a swift and efficient execution. The five warriors moved through the wreckage like ghosts, leaving rows of corpses behind them without ever slowing down or looking back.

The operation lasted only a short while. Everyone who had hidden within the wreckage met their end beneath the swords, axes, and knives of the Lone Wolves. Silence returned to the battlefield, and the wreck became nothing more than lifeless twisted metal. The five warriors then stood shoulder to shoulder in a single line, staring ahead without showing the slightest trace of satisfaction or emotion, as though they were killing machines that would never cease functioning until the mission was complete. Then they marched onward, leaving behind the shattered vessel and the scattered corpses as they continued toward the heart of the Kingdom of Gelel, where their next objective awaited.
