"Eh? Oak-Sinar Hospital? Are you sure, Sir?" Troy checked on me through the rearview mirror, and I shot a glare back at him through the same mirror, which made him quickly turn his eyes back to the road.
"Yes," I replied curtly. "I have something to do there."
"Sir, the meeting with Thomas Page is important," Troy reminded me, as he knew all my schedules. "Is it really wise to do this?"
Of course, I knew that my meeting with the young billionaire Thomas Page was important. He was planning a multi-million dollar investment in a new business that required my approval because his late father entrusted all of his funds to Gatlin Gold in his inheritance will.
On top of that, I also had a good relationship with Thomas and basically all of the high-profile clients of Gatlin Gold.
So, as a man of logic, I should have known which one took priority.
But my mind was haunted by the image of Claudia crying and begging in front of me, as if her life was truly on the line.
