I truly had no intention of angering Jane Jiang. I thought we had a similar dislike for the same man, but I was wrong, because right after I finished talking about the hickey, Jane's face turned red, like a volcano could spew from the top of her head at any point. She gnashed her teeth, as if wanting to bite a chunk of my face once given the chance.
I took a step back out of reflex and wondered if I had said something wrong.
"Do you think you're so great after getting a hickey from him? Oh, come on, he'll get bored of you eventually, and when that time comes, you'll—"
