After instructing Anok on what to do to deal with Maya, I went out and searched for my beloved.
I walked around the garden and began calling her name to no avail. It was strange because Claudia didn't go that far without me, at least not inside the Gatlin mansion.
After all, the mansion was huge and had too many corridors that might confuse her.
I knew that she was around here, and the Gatlin mansion was the safest place for her. But I didn't feel at ease knowing that she wasn't within my sight.
Thus, I began to search frantically and basically asked each of the servants that I passed along the way.
I knew that I must've looked terrifying right now because the servants gradually looked terrified when I asked them, even though I didn't even yell at them.
But I couldn't help it. My heart began to get restless, and my mind began fantasizing about the bad things that might've happened to my beloved.
