SASHA ROSARIO'S POINT OF VIEW
I was completely out of it, adrift in my own head as we sat inside the private jet bound for Russia. Dallius was right beside me, but I barely even registered his presence—my mind was too loud, too tangled up in everything Kazz had thrown at me back at the airport.
His words kept replaying over and over, sharp and unshakable, echoing like a broken record in my head.
Dallius… is engaged to someone else.
I wanted to bang my head against the window, all those dark, heavy thoughts swarming in. Why did it hurt so bad? Because it felt true. Even if I didn't know for sure if Kazz was lying or not, the pain was real. He knew Dallius. He knew everything about Dallius's life, things I probably never even got close to finding out.
I let out a long, ragged sigh.
