Hyuga Hinata slipped silently back into her room in the Hyuga Clan Compound.
A second Hinata lay sleeping on the bed—her Clone.
Just as she'd expected, Shisui entrusted his will to Itachi, and the Mangekyo awakened; the plot had unfolded without a single deviation.
"Uchiha Itachi has already opened the Mangekyo Sharingan, his strength now on another level. With Obito added to the equation, the Uchiha Clan is doomed."
"Fugaku could still put up a fight, but he won't resist."
She sat cross-legged on the couch, letting her Chakra cycle through her body's Meridians, nourishing them while sharpening her thoughts to icy clarity.
On the System panel, a fresh 5,000 points glared at her—resources she had to spend where they mattered most.
"The night of extermination carries both risk and opportunity. I plan to watch from the sidelines, but accidents happen. Itachi's Tsukuyomi, the mask-man's unpredictable space–time Ninjutsu, even possible Root sentries—all need counter-measures."
With a thought she summoned the System store. Light rippled across the screen, revealing treasures, Cultivation Techniques, and Medicinal Pills from countless worlds; most, unfortunately, still priced beyond her reach.
[Shadow-Concealment Formation Plate]: when activated, conceals body and Chakra signature, granting exceptional resistance to sensory Ninjutsu and dōjutsu. Note: effectiveness drops against Divine Sense above Foundation Establishment Stage. Cost: 1,200 points.
Her gaze lingered on the [Shadow-Concealment Formation Plate].
The price was steep, but the description made her pulse quicken.
"Exceptional resistance to dōjutsu. Both Itachi and the mask-man possess top-tier ocular powers; this could buy me an extra layer of safety."
After a brief hesitation she confirmed the purchase; her points dropped by 1,200.
She still had ample left. Investments for absolute safety were necessary expenses.
The plate materialized in her hand, faint Chakra rippling across its surface.
She inspected it carefully, then stowed it safely away.
With these trump cards in place, she felt surer about the coming storm… Several nights later, the evening destined to run red finally arrived.
Hinata left the Hyuga compound early, unseen by anyone.
Like a ghost in the dark, she relied on Chakra-boosted lightness and the Breath Concealment Technique to bypass every possible witness and reach the observation point she had chosen days earlier.
She produced the [Shadow-Concealment Formation Plate], feeding it a sliver of Chakra as the System had taught her.
The disk flashed once; an invisible ripple expanded, cloaking everything within a three-zhang radius around her.
Instantly her presence thinned, as though she had fused into the shadows and dust.
She could even sense the barrier warping the sight of the Byakugan.
"Worth every point."
Reassured, she focused her full attention on the familiar complex below.
At first everything seemed calm, but as the night deepened an intangible tension began to spread… On the other side of the Village, Itachi had already reported the clan's planned coup to the Konoha Leadership.
Danzo pressed him: clan or little brother—choose one.
Itachi sought out Obito.
"Oi, I need a favor…"
…A figure appeared atop the Village utility pole.
Uchiha Itachi crouched there.
[Hoh, mysterious pole-guy—if I juiced that thing with high voltage, would he fry?]
Hinata watched Itachi flicker to a clansman, blade rising and falling.
The first shrill scream tore through the night, a stone cast onto a mirror-calm lake, sending endless ripples across the surface.
The slaughter had begun.
In her sight the Uchiha compound below turned into a chaotic battlefield of Chakra blazing, clashing, and winking out.
Beacons of life vanished one after another, candles snuffed by a gale.
Itachi wove through streets and rooftops at terrifying speed, Kunai and short sword becoming the scythes of a Shinigami; every slash painted the air with blood.
His eyes were cold, numb, as though he were merely carrying out someone else's chore.
Now and then an Uchiha Ninja tried to resist—Great Fireball, shadow shuriken—but against the Mangekyo Sharingan they were futile.
Space twisted; a silhouette stepped from the vortex.
Obito joined the carnage.
Screams, pleas, steel on steel, collapsing timbers—an orchestra of bloody death.
Even at this height the stench of blood drifted up.
Hinata watched it all with a blank face, not a ripple in her heart.
"Heh… they brought it on themselves. Fugaku never imagined his own son would sell them out and leak news of the coup to the Konoha Leadership."
Her gaze stayed locked on Itachi's movements.
"Your son played the dog for outsiders, then came to butcher his own, ending up the Village's Rogue Ninja—pathetic."
She let out a soft snort of contempt.
"Others play both sides and profit; you get beaten from both, cursed by everyone, yet think you saved the Village."
"Shisui asked you to protect them—did that go in one ear and out the other? When you die and meet him again, what will you say?"
Shisui: Itachi, did you protect the clan?
Itachi: They were too adorable, so I set them free.
Hinata turned back, continuing to observe.
Itachi walked toward the most prominent building in the compound—his home.
She held her breath, focusing every sense.
No clash came from inside; after a few dozen seconds two Chakra signatures winked out together.
She knew: Uchiha Fugaku and his wife were dead.
Sasuke was just returning from the Village.
The moment he stepped into the Uchiha compound, the sky fell.
A terrifying silence; further on, bloodstains and corpses.
"What… what happened?"
Sasuke's childish voice rang out.
The small figure staggered, running for home.
Inside, father and mother lay on the floor; he couldn't believe it.
From the darkness a silhouette emerged; Sasuke stumbled backward, Itachi's face appearing in the moonlight.
"Big brother! Mom and Dad… why? Who did this?"
The words had barely left his mouth when a Kunai grazed his arm, slicing it open.
Then Hinata watched Sasuke bolt through the door, crying and screaming, his voice echoing across the compound.
"Ahh!! Don't kill me!"
Hinata chuckled—classic scene.
Itachi: ey-ey-ey-ey lil' bro's crush, lil' bro's lightning crush, lil' bro's sassy crush, lil' bro's big crush, lil' bro's tough crush, lil' bro's set crush, lil' bro's golf crush, lil' bro's tough-set crush.
He caught up; the pinwheel Mangekyo Sharingan glowed crimson in the night.
"Run, live in squalor, then come before me bearing the same eyes."
Sasuke's legs buckled; he dropped to one knee, his own irises spinning into a single tomoe.
Itachi turned to leap away; Sasuke charged, scooping up a Kunai and striking.
Itachi parried, the hit even knocking off his forehead protector.
He picked it up, looked back at Sasuke—eyes brimming with tears.
Then Sasuke collapsed.
[Got so mad at dancing lil' bro he cried.]
Hinata savored the thought with relish.
The entire compound held no living soul but the unconscious Sasuke.
The slaughter was over; only the night wind's wail and the cloying stench of blood remained.
Hinata stood atop the bell tower, waited a moment longer, then quietly dispelled the Shadow-Concealment Formation Plate.
[Observation of Uchiha extermination complete. Full record of S-class historical event. Key nodes logged: deaths of Uchiha Fugaku and spouse, awakening of Uchiha Sasuke. Reward: 10,000 points.]
The System's voice announced the successful conclusion of her observation.
Ten thousand points hit her balance; together with her earlier savings, her reserve was now considerable.
She cast one last glance at the silent, blood-soaked grounds below.
Tilting her head, she looked at the moon—tinged crimson as if even it had been dyed—and her eyes were clear, resolute.
"This matter is done; time to go home."
With a flicker she vanished as silently as she had come, leaving the carnage and its echoes far behind.
