This is where the importance of Slaves came into play.
Outside Luminosa Kingdom, Blake and his group changed into the spacesuits and fishbowls (helmets) that the Slaves had been wearing.
Of course, Stella and the others' outfits were merely imitations, with noticeable differences in style.
"Maybe the Void Century was a super epidemic, which is why Celestial Dragons have had to wear these outfits ever since."
Blake casually grumbled, but Robin considered it seriously for a moment, then rolled her eyes at him:
"If it was just an epidemic, why would you hide it?"
After putting on the fishbowls (helmets), Robin's voice sounded a bit muffled.
Perona was shaking her head, seemingly uncomfortable in the outfit.
Aside from a few female Slaves by his side, the other Slaves who came along for odd jobs didn't receive such treatment.
Short-term exposure to lead powder could be sufficiently immunized by the body's metabolism.
Moreover, dressing Slaves in clothes similar to Celestial Dragons was somewhat taboo.
For Stella and the others, being a little willful was fine.
As for the other Slaves, forget it.
Double standards!
However, Blake was now surrounded by Slaves, and the people inside Flevance would all die in two years, so no one would report him anyway.
Luminosa showed no significant abnormalities from the outside; instead, it appeared to be thriving.
After all, it was a country with mines.
The nobles of Luminosa Kingdom ruled through deception and concealment of dangers.
So, even if the royal family took the majority, the miners' wages still had to be paid.
The silver dust occasionally falling from the sky decorated the country, making it quite dreamy.
Perona reached out to catch some dust, but Blake pulled her hand back.
"That's lead powder; absorbing it into your body will cause lead rot disease."
"Why do you think I made you wear these outfits?"
Perona quickly pulled her hand back, looking terrified.
Robin looked at Blake thoughtfully:
"So this isn't an epidemic at all? It's lead rot disease?"
"The World Government actually knows about the situation here."
Blake nodded frankly, not hiding anything:
"The royal family of Luminosa reached some kind of agreement with the government."
"I'm not clear on the specific details of the transaction, but when I decided to come here to take a look, CP gave me a file about Luminosa Kingdom."
The women weren't too surprised; they had already experienced the World Government's cruelty to a considerable extent.
Luminosa Kingdom was not large, and the group soon arrived at the white town of Flevance.
This was almost the most severely affected area in all of Luminosa.
The town was covered in white slag, and figures of homeless people could be seen in the shadows, constantly coughing.
Robin used her Hana Hana no Mi ability to retrieve a medical record blown by the wind at the street corner and glanced at it:
"The residents of Flevance don't seem to be aware of their condition."
"Of course."
Blake laughed:
"If the residents here knew that lead rot disease was actually heavy metal poisoning, they certainly wouldn't work so hard for the mines."
Blake's steps were unhurried, seemingly aimless, yet his direction was remarkably clear.
Not far away, a brown-haired little girl was squatting by a gutter, vomiting.
"Wow! The stuff she's throwing up is glowing!"
Perona's exclamation made Rami turn her head, wiping her mouth in a panic, revealing fluorescent blue stomach acid between her fingers.
"The metabolites of lead, after oxidation by stomach acid, will produce..."
Before Robin could finish, Blake's scepter tapped the fishbowls (helmets) on her head:
"Get to the point!"
"If she continues in this environment, she'll die soon."
Robin was concise.
Looking at the clinic behind the little girl, Blake lifted his foot and walked over.
The brass bell of Trafalgar Clinic rang, and Law went to open the door, looking warily at the newcomers.
The next moment, he noticed Rami beside Blake.
"Rami?! When did you run out?"
"Sorry, I just went out for a walk."
Rami was clearly not good at lying; her eyes were a bit shifty.
But now was not the time to dwell on that; Law looked at Blake, who had followed them in.
"Who are you?"
"Good morning, young sir."
Blake first greeted Law, then looked at the doctor-dressed man who walked out from the inner room:
"This must be Mr. Trafalgar Victor, right?"
"I once read a paper titled 'Research on the Toxic Metabolism of Lead,' and it was very well written."
Victor was silent for a moment:
"That paper has been banned by the World Government. The fact that you found it suggests your identity is not simple, does it?"
Blake said with a smile:
"I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Hilbert Black; you can call me Saint Black."
Victor's pupils contracted.
Blake continued:
"I came here this time to give you an opportunity. I think you might need this."
Saying that, he patted Stella's shoulder.
Stella understood, took a document bag from her embrace, and handed it to Victor.
Victor opened it and saw that it was a migration permit with the World Government's emblem.
Within the information cocoon created by the World Government, everyone on Pionbino Island believed that the widespread disease in Luminosa Kingdom was contagious.
Therefore, the other three countries had set up numerous checkpoints at their borders, not allowing people from Luminosa Kingdom to leave.
And Victor, as a doctor, was one of the few who knew the truth about lead rot disease.
He was well aware of the effects that living in such an environment for many years would have on the body.
This pass could be said to be a lifesaver for his entire family.
But for a Celestial Dragons to come here personally... "What's the price?"
Victor's voice was a little hoarse.
"Very simple."
The Slave behind him took out a folding chair, and Blake sat down, pointing at Law:
"This child has great potential."
"Even Rob Lucci, who is touted as CP's strongest talent in 800 years, might not be able to compare to him."
"I need him to undergo a period of training and then work for me."
Law, standing nearby, pointed at himself in disbelief:
"Me?"
Victor, however, frowned and fell silent again.
As a doctor with a certain social standing, he was well aware of the temperament of Celestial Dragons.
Although Blake spoke vaguely, he was comparing Law to a genius within CP.
This meant that whether it was training or working, the nature of the job would be similar to CP's.
Which parent would want their child to engage in dangerous spy work?
Before Victor could answer, Law was the first to regain his composure:
"No problem, I'm willing to work for you."
"Law!"
Victor's voice instantly rose:
"You have no idea what this means!"
Law's gaze, however, was calm, and he said to his father calmly:
"It won't be worse than it is now, will it?"
"Ever since I started studying medicine, I gradually realized that the situation here was wrong."
"Originally, I wasn't very confident, but now..."
He glanced at Rami:
"No matter what, family is the most important thing."
Blake chuckled at this.
Well, aren't you a family man too?
