Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 Elegance! So elegant!

The noise grew from a distance, gradually becoming clearer.

"Wahahaha... Tell your king! The Wild Waves Pirates are here to collect taxes!"

A wild laugh rang out, followed by a cacophony of cries and shouts.

"It's pirates! Run!"

"Help!"

Black looked through the restaurant window, fixing his gaze.

The dock area was in complete chaos, with people frantically fleeing towards them.

Black watched the scene with interest.

Since dealing with that hyena last time, Black hadn't seen pirates in a long time.

He almost forgot what kind of world this was.

As for his sanctuary?

No need to worry about that.

There were still two CPs on board.

Among the pirates of the West Blue, besides the Happo Navy, no one could easily defeat two CPs.

Perona, forgetting her food, eagerly poked her small head out, looking eager to try her hand.

If Stella hadn't held her back, she probably would have already rushed out to fight the pirates.

Koala was a little flustered, but quickly calmed down, clenching her fists.

Mandy's hand rested on her sword hilt, looking at Black.

Black thought for a moment, then shook his head:

"Forget it, it's none of our business. As long as these pirates don't bother us, we'll pretend we didn't see anything."

This was Black's personality.

He didn't care whether people unrelated to him lived or died.

If they lived, they were lucky; if they died, they were unlucky.

Rather than intervening to deal with the pirates, Black preferred to enjoy the spectacle.

"Ladies and gentlemen!"

"Next up, the Wild Waves Pirates will perform for you—"

"The Pirate Massacre!"

The leading pirate actually pulled an amplifier from his pocket and began broadcasting to the entire city.

Black praised the fellow's creativity.

He had a certain flair, reminiscent of Somaz in Elbaf.

Captain Grove's scimitar sliced through a fruit stand, sending oranges rolling everywhere.

The old man selling cotton candy on the corner hadn't even reacted before Buck swept him into his shop with a club:

"Old man, don't block the way!"

A pot of hot oil suddenly splashed down from the second floor of the tavern, and a second later, Ryan's scalpel was embedded in the attacker's wrist.

"Ah!"

A scream came from the second floor of the tavern.

Grove kicked open the wooden door:

"Who else wants to be a hero?"

The sniper on top of the clock tower had just aimed at Grove when Morris shattered his scope with a single shot.

"Fourth one!"

He leisurely cleaned his gun barrel and reloaded:

"Are all the snipers in this country dead?"

Looking at the arrogant behavior of these pirates, Perona felt a bit jealous.

She really wanted to show off too!

Black just found them noisy.

These were just a bunch of small-time pirates, taking advantage of the Moonlight Circus Kingdom's slow reaction to raid the port.

Any country that could survive for so long in the chaotic seas must have masters within it.

Otherwise, how could it be their turn to plunder?

Just then, a neat sound of footsteps echoed, and Black turned to see a squad of fully armed guards running from the other side of the street.

The pirate crew had also rushed over by then, and the two sides began to face off on the street not far from Black and his companions.

"Put down your wea..."

Bang!

The Captain of the guard, before he could finish his sentence, had a large dent appear in the chest plate of his armor, and he fell backward.

Morris blew away the smoke from his gun barrel:

"Fancy armor, is it made of paper?"

The remaining four guards turned to run, but their hamstrings were sliced by Cole's twin blades, and they slid three meters on their knees.

The twenty kingdom soldiers lining up in the rear had just gotten ready when Buck charged in with his spiked club.

Amidst the clash of metal, broken spears and shattered shields flew everywhere.

"You dare to stop the Wild Waves Pirates with just this much skill?"

He stepped on the neck of the last soldier, and with a slight press, a soft snap echoed beneath his foot.

"La la la..."

Just then, a strange humming sound came from the street corner.

Along with the sound, a tall figure wearing a Black top hat appeared.

His height of three meters four was particularly striking.

He was robust, pale-skinned, with a cunning and devilish smile.

He wore a white shirt with a yellow cross pattern on the upper body, paired with golden earrings.

His collar was open, revealing his firm pectoral muscles.

Black saw the newcomer and chuckled.

Isn't this Blackbeard's navigator?

So, the expert of this country is Lafitte?

It must be said that Lafitte's skill was sufficient to guard a country in the Four Seas.

This guy didn't have any outstanding battle achievements, but he was the most elusive member of the Blackbeard Pirates.

He was able to appear directly in the meeting room when Sengoku summoned the Shichibukai for a meeting.

That was Mary Geoise.

Yet, no one discovered how he got in.

At this point, any normal person would realize that a guy over three meters tall was not someone their small pirate crew could handle.

But... "Another one coming to die!"

Buck uttered a fierce remark, swung his spiked club, and charged forward.

There weren't many people with normal intelligence in this world, and the Wild Waves Pirates didn't know who the guy opposite them was.

Bang!

His knee suddenly burst into blood, and he slid on his knees to Lafitte's feet.

"Oh my, my~~"

Lafitte tapped Buck's head with his pistol:

"A savage who can't even dance properly~~"

His tone was like a stage play, with an exaggerated sense of mockery.

"Bastard!"

Grove, the Captain, was furious when he saw Buck fall in one encounter, and he raised his scimitar to strike at Lafitte.

Whoosh!

The scimitar stopped in mid-air; Lafitte's cane had pierced his wrist at some unknown moment.

"Too slow, isn't it~"

He whispered into Grove's ear, while another bullet precisely shot through Morris's newly raised gun barrel.

Cole's twin blades flew out of their sheaths and into the sky, and Ryan's scalpel was embedded in his own shoulder.

The entire process took less than three seconds, and Lafitte didn't even get his clothes dirty.

Black, watching from the side, couldn't help but exclaim in his heart:

"Elegant! So elegant! This is the fighting style I crave!"

"Now~"

Lafitte used his cane to lift Grove's chin:

"May I ask you trash to cooperate with our investigation?"

With the battle over, the other guards, who had been hiding behind Lafitte, afraid to step forward, rushed over and restrained the five members of the Wild Waves Pirates.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Crisp applause rang out.

Lafitte looked over at the sound, seeing Black and the women emerge from the restaurant.

Lafitte narrowed his eyes.

Black walked to a short distance, then stood still.

Not because it was dangerous nearby, but because Lafitte was taller than him.

Being too close would require looking up.

"Want to talk?"

Black's tone was casual, and Lafitte pressed down on his hat brim:

"My pleasure, sir. May I ask your name?"

"No hurry."

Black patted Mandy's back, and continued to Lafitte:

"Those little fish just now couldn't tell your skill level."

"Let my knight test your abilities first."
