Chapter 59 - Chapter 58: The Blacks

816.M30 Segmentum Solar, Sol System, Luna.

"Atlas, the data-yield is stagnant, recommendations"

"A petition to your bloodline is necessary, my Lord"

"They are already bloated with influence…Why feed them more"

"I was informed by the Trilithon, that they have secured the Lucifer Blacks"

"Inexcusable… why was this intelligence delayed..." Silvanus-Prime, now pacing in the room considering his options said

"Signal the Trilithon, those soldiers are mine and no one else touches them..." with that he walked out of the room.

'The Lucifer Blacks, the elite regiment train for war in the best way possible'

Silvanus was smiling at the very thought of having this elite conditioned regiment. He started considering what to do with them.

War? No. Experiments? No. Enhancements? Yes.

With that settle he needed something more, where would they be deployed? Since he knew with those types of people just keeping them out of the war would be impossible.

Through his thoughts he had already walked into his lab. A year ago, he had been given his on lab to work on from his master at the time. He had already had permission to participate on the surgery for the Astartes.

Inside his lab, limbs of various things could be seen inside jars in fluid. Human parts were the most common, organs, limbs, tissue, a full skeleton, even an extracted nerve system, and many others.

"Hello, Bazanthian…" he said to a head sitting on the edge of a table with cables attached to it. Running through its neck.

"Salutations, Lord Silvanus-Prime" the head answer.

With its eyes removed, and it mouth sealed shut, yet it could still talk.

"Open a new entry for me. Tittle it Old Hundred" he said. "Task registered, do you require further processing"

"No, i just need a reminder, I will be off world for a little bit before i return." Silvanus said as he caressed the head on the table, like a lover would his love.

This head had belonged to a rival gang member, who had been augmented physically. When they were defeated by Atlas, Silvanus requested him alive.

He was then transformed into a functional processing unit for a computer. A living thinking computer.

He cleared some serums he had made prior, and some of his more expensive research and walked out of the Lab. Atlas met him at the door.

Atlas has changed a lot. At the Age of 16, he could already rival an Astartes in size and musculature. What he lacks is the speed, processing power, and combat acumen that the Emperor granted his angels.

"Update?" Silvanus asked

"My Lord, Lord Teng has assumed command. He intends to deploy them immediately."

"Teng, that block head, why would he waste such precious things on the useless campaigns." Silvanus complained

"Tell me at least he leads some Astartes?"

"He lacks the authority to command the Emperor's Angels, My Lord" Atlas said

"Fine, we are going to Terra…sigh…Let us go to the Namatjira family…sigh"

With that, they both went to a certain dome on Luna, where the political power ran through. They located a building where they entered. With the appearance of Silvanus all the guards greeted him with respect and reverence.

What most that saw him did not know was, he is/was the heir of the main family. His mother birth him on Ganymede, but that was not the original plan. With him showing such penchant for the technology, they left him in the care of the Adepts.

And gave him, his bound guardian…Atlas.

They have always known where he is, and what he is doing, they just left him to his own devices.

"I'm lifting for Terra. Tell that block head Teng to wait for me before he leaves."

The Namatjira attendant, shivered a little at that statement. He knew the heir was abrasive, but he did not think that he would call a Lord commander of the Imperial Army a 'Block Head'.

With that things progressed as one would for someone who wielded such power. And they set off for Terra in 2 hours.

Setting your foot on Terra, is not as simple as it seems, take a ship, park in orbit, and shuttle down to the ground. No, it was checks, and checks, and checks.

At every stage you and your cargo would be searched into oblivion before you could finally even set foot on the ground. When all was done, the group they took a shuttle to the Ishtar sector of Terra.

"My soooonnn" a hysterical scream, enough to wake the dead came out as a woman ran to Silvanus as he stepped out of the shuttle.

"Calm yourself mother, calm yourself, calm yourself…" after continuous repetitions with no results Silvanus gave up and just waited for the death hug to be over.

"Are you satisfied now?", "Consorting with those Selenar gene-witches... it is a stain on our house" she said, confirming he knowledge of him leaving.

"For progress, of course, those Machine people who ruin the greatness of the flesh do no understand a thing."

"Enough talk you father awaits you in the great hall."

SIGH!!!

The only bad thing about great and powerful families is their over reliance on formalities and events. The arrived at the main hall to see his father sitting on the high seat, with the rest of the elders and higher ups around the table.

"I bring my greeting to you Father, and in salutations i offer this gift of rejuvenation" he brought out a bottle from his bag, with a green liquid in it.

His father took a drink immediately he got the bottle "Magnificent! I can feel the years sloughing off already"

His father laughed. Silvanus immediately started looking around the room for someone. He hoped he could see him, Teng. that was when he realized he did not know anyone in the family.

"Where is Teng? I didn't come to Terra for pleasantries"

"Hahaha " his father laughed very hard as he had expected this to happen as soon as he received the report from the Trilithon.

Some did not appreciate the hubris of Silvanus and scrunched their faces at him. But he did not care, then he saw a man with a grim expression, and a hardened look. It reminded him of the way Astartes looked after they had returned from their scout missions.

"So it is you, we're speaking in private" Silvanus looked at him and turned around, walking out of the great hall.

"Still as boisterous as ever, father will be please…hahaha" his father said

"My Lord, such disrespect to the Great Hall is unheard of…" an elder wanted to say something, but was nudged by another to let it go.

Teng followed Silvanus out of the hall, only to be greeted by the mass of muscle that was Atlas. He has been fighting gangs, and killing for 6 years now that all the youth had left his face. He had even began releasing Killing intent.

They walked to a different compound with a dome in the middle allowing for light to shine into the building.

"What is the intent for the Lucifer regiments? And how many do I get?"

"Efficiency. A trait we share. They are 10 thousand strong, but i shall take onty 500"

"Acceptable. When do you lift-off?"

"Deployment commences in five solar cycles"

"Present them to me in three solar cycles. I'll ensure they are fit for your command"

"A bold claim. We shall see"

"I don't hope, Teng"

With the conversation over, Silvanus escorted him out. As he watched him leave, a smile washed over his face.

"Atlas, prepare the surgical theaters. We have five hundred prime specimens to play with"
