Kiefer POV:
Today is the Battle of the bands. I am nervous, because I am confessing my love… well kind of. I am singing Me gusta from DTF. It isn't fillipino song, so I don't think she will understand it. It is a French and Spanish song. The song sounds upbeat so the stage presence criteria will be fulfilled. And the song is very popular! Yuri and I chose this song and the others don't know the meaning of it, so they didn't tease. Me and Yuri are the vocalists/rappers, Blaster and Josh are the guitarists, Rory will play the bass and Edrix will play the drums. I got ready, I wore a black polo, where the sleeves were rolled up till the elbows and white pants. I went downstairs and immediately got teased by my brothers. Ugh! I can never get a break from it. At least I am getting teased with Jay.
Kiegan: Looks like someone is ready to flirt a girl named Jay!
Kieren: She will faint! Someone call an ambulance!
Kiefer (sarcastic): Haha, very funny! Now eat your breakfast!
Kiegan: At least I am not singing a love song in another language!
Kiefer: Shut up! And eat!!
Kieren and Kiegan in unison: AYE AYE CAPTAIN!!
I burst out laughing. I eventually ate breakfast, dropped my brothers off and drove to school. Today I drove my black Porsche and coincidently Jay also drove a Porsche, but a white one. How do I know? Oh, I parked m car next to hers. Sometimes it is so shocking that she has this much money! Anyways I was backstage preparing myself and hoping I don't turn red.
Yuri POV:
I am so nervous!! I am confessing to my Crush in 2 different languages!!! I hope she doesn't understand it!! We didn't want to confess till our Inheritances!! But we didn't have any other good songs in mind and we both had an earworm of it. It is also the perfect song to confess to them. I have to keep that in mind. Anyways I am back stage and I am literally shaking!!!
Jay POV:
I am kind of excited not because of the food. OK, maybe a little bit because of the food. But I am mostly excited to see how Kiefer sings. I didn't know he sings!! He really is perfect! I think- no, scratch that. I have a crush on Kiefer. 100 %. I can't lie anymore!! They are backstage right now. First Section A sang and they sang Believer from Imagine Dragons, Section B sang Dynamite from BTS, Section C sang Champion from Blackpink, Section D girls sang Lover from Taylor Swift and now Section E will sing!!!!!
Freya (motivating the crowd): Now last but definitely NOT THE LEAST, Section E, who are called "the queens warriors" *she winked at us* present Me gusta from DTF!!!
Me gusta? I don't believe this!! This is our favourite song!! It was one of our reasons why we learnt Spanish and French!! But why this song? Isn't it a love song? Before I could think further, they started appearing on the stage.
Kiefer: We would like you to sing when we point at you guys, ok??
The crowd roared.
Yuri: We didn't hear you!! LOUDER!!
The crowd screamed
They chuckled and nodded at each other. Now the music started.

This time Yuri pointed and hyped them up, while Kiefer was taking breaths.
Crowd: Me gusta la mañana
Yuri (looking at Jane): me gustas tú
Yuri pointed again and jumped around, Josh and Blaster were also jumping around while strumming the guitar.
Crowd: La desgracia me pega,
Yuri (looking at Jane): me gustas tú
Yuri pointed.
Crowd: La mala suerte me pega,
Yuri (looking at Jane): me gustas tú
Yuri pointed again and hyped them up.
Crowd: ¿Qué voy a hacer?
Yuri (looking at Jane): Me gustas tu
Kiefer: Petit, j'étais du-per hein, j'ai vendu sur le terrain

The song ended. And I am speechless!! He kept looking at me when he said "Me gustas tu". But that means "I like you". Does he like me?? No, I am being delusional!! Am I? He was literally looking at me while he was saying I like you in Spanish and I love you in French!!! It can't be a coincidence. I will just pretend that I don't know what it means. How can he sing so good though???!!! But the way Yuri was looking at Jane!! AHHHH! If that isn't love then I don't know what that was!
Jane POV:
Yuri kept looking at me the whole concert long!! My heart is RACING! Does he like me??? I mean it is obvious!! He literally said I like you in Spanish and I love you in French!!!! WHILE LOOKING AT ME!!!! Am I delusional??? I don't know, but the fact he sang my favourite song without knowing kind of makes my stomach flutter. And the way Kiefer was looking at Jay while singing those lines, was actual love!!!! AHHHHH!!! I am so happy for her!!!! Then Yuri came up to me.
Yuri: How did you like the song?
Jane: How did you know that it is Jay's and mine favourite song?
Yuri: I didn't! Kiefer and I had an earworm!
Jane: What does "Me gustas tu" mean?
I was trying to tease and test him.
Yuri (his ears turned slightly red): I don't know!
Jane (testing) And what does "Je taime" mean?
Yuri (he was as red as a tomato): I don't know
Jane: Why are you blushing?
Yuri: It is just hot! *and went away*
Jane (muttering): Idiot. Me gustas tu, tambien ( Translation: I like you too)
Jay POV:
After that performance, he came over to me. Kiefer came over and asked
Kiefer (out of breath): How as our performance?
Jay gave him water and Kiefer took it.
Jay: It was good! How did you know it was Jane's and mine favourite song? And by the way, what does "Me gustas tu and "Je taime" mean?
Kiefer (trying to act cool, failed miserably): I didn't know, we just had an ear worm. And I don't know what it means!
Jay (teasing): Why are you blushing?
Kiefer: I am just out of breath. *and went to the bathroom*
Jay (muttering): Ulupong, me gustas tu, tambien.
