NEXT DAY
Jay's POV:
I woke up to my phone vibrating. I swear, I will kill this person unless it is extremely important!!!!!! I looked up at my phone and there was an incoming from Ci-n. I picked it up, while my eyes were still closed, since they were adjusting to the brightness shining through my window.
Jay: Ugh!!! This better be very important!!!!!!
But the other end was very silent. I ended up frowning and opened my eyes very slowly, so my eyes don't sting. I looked at my screen and saw the whole Section E leaning on Ci-n's phone. I visibly flinched, because of how close they were!!!!
Jay: HELLO!!!!!
Section E: GOOD MORNING MUTYAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Jay: SHUT UP!!!! WHY DID YOU CALL ME AT *looking at her clock* SH-
Kiefer cleared his throat while smirking
Jay: SHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!! It is 10????!!!!
Ci-n: Yes, Mutya!!
Jay: Why didn't you call me sooner??????? Where is Jane????
Yuri: We were actually calling to ask where you both were
The moment Yuri said that, my stomach dropped, because even if I didn't wake up, jane would have gone to school without me. She would always be at school. She doesn't want to ruin her perfect attendance.
Jay: Well, as you see I am alive and let me check on Jane
I left them on the call. I frowned and saw that the door was still closed. Huh? She never closes her door in the school hours!! I knocked on the door, but I didn't get an answer. I just got some shuffling and panting in her room. I was confused and even Section E seemed to notice my expression and went quiet.
Jay: Jane, are you ok?
Jane didn't answer, but I heard her mumble something. At last, I open the door and saw something heartbreaking. Jane was having a terrible nightmare. She was covered in sweat and she kept mumbling
Jane (mumbling): Please, let me go. Leave me alone. I didn't steal anything.
Jay: Section E, I will hang up now. I will give you an update later, ok? And Jane and I will most probably not show up for school together. Bye, thanks for asking and caring
Section E: JAY-
I hung up before they could say anything else and sat beside Jane on the bed.
Jay: Jane, it is me, your twin Jay. Calm down. I am here. He isn't here. He will die. I am here. Section E is here for you. Yuri is here for you. You are not alone *touches her hand*
For a split second she flinched, but then she relaxed and mumbled, while sleeping
Jane: Jay, please help me. Come faster. He is here. I am weak
My stomach twisted, because this wasn't just a nightmare. This was when she got kidnapped for 2 days by that uncle of ours. I flew from Spain for her and saved her before he could do something to her.
Jay: You are strong. I am here. I will always be here to save you. You are not a burden.
Jane woke up after that and hugged me immediately.
Jane: I am weak, I am a burden, I am nothing compared to you
Jay: You are the strongest person I know. You are not a burden. You are a human being. You are my sister. We are equals. That is why we are partners in the underground and in the Mariano company.
Jane: Let's go to school *getting up*
Jay: Nope *pushes her down on the bed gently*
Jane: Jay, I am not going to the school, because I had a nightmare
Jay: Your hands are still shaking, your eyes say that you are panicking and you are so pale that you look like you are about to pass out!!! So, no you are not going to school!!
Jane: But-
Jay: No buts! You are staying in bed!!
Jane sighed and nodded.
Jane: Can I at least go to the bathroom?
I smiled my cheeky smile and imitated in our least favourite teacher's accent: I don't know if you can, but you may
Jane chuckled a small chuckle, but it was real. I stood up from her bed, so she could go to the bathroom. After a while she wanted to go downstairs, but I didn't want to have it! So, I brought her food and entertained her the whole time. I was about to tell her another joke, when someone spammed the doorbell. Annoyed, I went downstairs and saw whole Section E and half of Section A plus Rakki in our doorway.
Jay: What are you doing here?
Yuri: How is Jane? What happened? Is everything ok?
Aries: Jay, tell me! Is Jane fine?
Jay: Aries, it was a Code yellow
Aries looked a bit relieved, but he was still concerned. Aries learned our twins code language, since we were always together, so he understood, when I said Code yellow.
Yuri: Code Yellow?? What do you mean????
Jay: First come in
They all shuffled in. I was about to say something, when Jane yelled from upstairs
Jane: Jay! Are you ok??
Jay: Jane! We have Code Caramel brown
Jane: Oh, please don't.
Jay: I won't. I know you! Just rest and heal up. And don't you dare come downstairs!!!
Jane: Yes, boss!!
I cleared my throat
Jane: Ok sorry! Jay
Jay: Better!!!
Yuri: What's going on???
Ci-n: Yeah, what's with all the codes??
Jay: Jane has a fever and that's why she didn't go to school
Yuri: Why didn't you just say so
Jay: Because I can't put a cold towel and hold a phone call at the same time. And I know, that Jane doesn't want to wake up to Section E interrogating her like she stole something. I also told you I would give updates, which I did!
They all nodded in agreement and one by one left, knowing I had a lot on my plate. Good thing, Ci-n had forgot what he asked in a second. Just Kiefer, Aries and Yuri were here and I knew they were sceptical.
Jay (whispered): Finally, they are gone! Ok, she doesn't have a fever. She had a nightmare, but don't tell her I told you that, ok?
They nodded, then Yuri asked
Yuri: What about?
Jay: I think I shouldn't be the one to tell you that.
Yuri nodded and we all went upstairs to Jane.
