Chapter: Dinner Chaos
(Keifer's POV)
The house had finally gone quiet.
Not the peaceful quiet kind.
The suspicious quiet kind.
Which usually meant something chaotic was about to happen.
The dining table was already set.
Ella helped put the plates out while Aries was leaning against the counter eating chips like he owned the place. Cin was sitting in a chair spinning slowly like a bored child.
And my twin brothers…
Keiran and Keigan…
Were whispering to each other while staring at the living room couch.
Because Jay was still there.
Curled up like a sleepy cat.
Still wearing my oversized hoodie.
Still half asleep.
Her legs tucked under her, hair messy, and eyes barely open.
I sighed and called out to her.
"Jay."
No response.
Cin grinned.
"She's in sleep mode."
I tried again.
"Jay."
Her head slowly lifted.
"…hmm?"
"Come eat."
She blinked slowly like her brain was still loading.
Then she stood up.
Very slowly.
Like a zombie waking up.
Keiran whispered loudly to Keigan.
"Bro she walks like a ghost."
Keigan nodded seriously.
"Sleep ghost."
Jay ignored them and walked toward the dining table.
Her hoodie sleeves were still covering half her hands.
When she reached the table, she stopped beside me.
And looked down at my plate.
Then at me.
Then without saying anything—
She climbed onto my lap.
The entire room froze.
Cin choked on his drink.
Aries raised an eyebrow.
Ella covered her mouth trying not to laugh.
Keiran and Keigan looked like they had just witnessed a crime.
Jay wrapped one arm lazily around my neck.
Then leaned against my shoulder like this was completely normal.
"…feed me."
Dead silence.
I looked down at her.
"Jay."
She rested her chin on my shoulder.
"…too sleepy to eat."
Cin slapped the table.
"BRO THIS IS ROMANCE MOVIE LEVEL."
Aries smirked.
"You trained her well."
Ella shook her head.
"She's adorable."
Keiran slowly stood up.
Pointing at us.
"WAIT."
Keigan also stood up dramatically.
"WAIT WAIT WAIT."
They both looked completely shocked.
Keiran pointed at Jay sitting on my lap.
"KUYA."
Then he pointed at me.
"YOU."
Then back at Jay.
"HIM."
Then he shouted dramatically—
"THIS IS TOO MUCH PDA."
Jay blinked slowly at them.
"…what is PDA?"
Cin raised his hand.
"Public display of affection."
Jay looked confused.
"…I'm just eating."
Then she turned back to me.
"…feed."
I sighed.
Picked up the spoon.
And held it in front of her.
She opened her mouth immediately.
Like a baby bird.
The room exploded.
Cin fell off his chair laughing.
Aries clapped slowly.
Ella buried her face in her hands.
Keiran grabbed Keigan dramatically.
"BRO."
Keigan looked traumatized.
"KUYA IS FEEDING HIS FUTURE WIFE."
Jay chewed quietly like nothing was happening.
Then pointed at the plate again.
"More."
I fed her another spoon.
She leaned more comfortably against me.
Clearly enjoying this.
Cin wiped tears from his eyes.
"I can't breathe."
Aries smirked.
"Keif… you've changed."
"I hate all of you."
Jay suddenly looked up at me.
"…water."
I handed her a glass.
She drank a little.
Then leaned against me again.
Still sitting on my lap.
Still wearing my hoodie.
Still half asleep.
Keiran whispered to Keigan again.
"Bro."
"Yeah?"
"This is our future hipang."
Jay heard that.
She looked at them lazily.
"…what's hipang?"
Keigan answered proudly.
"Brother's wife."
Jay blinked.
Then slowly looked at me.
Then rested her head on my shoulder again.
"…okay."
The twins screamed.
"BRO SHE ACCEPTED."
Cin shouted.
"ENGAGEMENT CONFIRMED."
Aries laughed loudly.
Ella shook her head again.
And I just sat there…
With Jay still on my lap.
Still eating from my spoon.
While my house slowly turned into a circus.
