In a dimly lit warehouse that was located somewhere within the outskirts of the city where night patrolmen never go by, as countless of bodies and blood littered the ground in every corner of the warehouse...
"Wait wait wait! Stop! We can talk about this!" A muscular man with a bald head desperately shouted for mercy as he backed himself up into one of the corners of the warehouse with his hands raised up in the air.
His actions were futile however, as the woman covered almost entirely from head to toe kept walking closer and closer towards him while holding a gun on one hand and a knife on the other.
Every time she took a step, more blood would splatter all over her shoes, but the woman didn't seem to mind it and simply kept marching forward without hesitation.
Eventually, after reaching about five meters away from the man, the woman pointed her gun at him.
More specifically, she pointed it at his stomach.
"Come after me at full force after I shoot you, and if you manage to touch me even once, I'll leave you alone." The woman coldly stated.
"No! Come on now! At least hear me-" Before the man could finish his sentence though...
BANG!
"AGHH!!" The man screamed in pain as he went down and started shaking in excruciating agony.
However, he remembered what the woman had clearly stated and didn't remain lying on the floor as blood began pooling out.
Instead, he stood up using the bits of strength he had left inside of him and lunged at the woman that didn't even try to back away whatsoever.
Unfortunately, he couldn't even make it halfway to her before his body gave up on him and he collapsed onto the ground.
"L-listen, you don't know who you're messing with! I-If you kill me, t-then our boss w-will surely track you down and make you pay for everything you've done!" In an attempt to save his life one last time, the man muttered out in desperation as he barely lifted his head up to look at the woman.
"Your boss... the leader of the Gordon Snake gang..." The woman mumbled softly to herself as she thought about something.
"R-right! You get it now! H-he'll come looking for you when he finds out about everything you've done! B-but if you keep me alive, then I can make sure h-he listens to you instead of k-killing you!" Assuming that the woman was intimidated by such an organization the leader was a part of, the man spewed out more empty promises.
But to his horror...
"No need, I've killed him already at his other hideout. You're the only person left affiliated with him that I need to kill."
Hearing this, the man's eyes completely widened in shock and he tried his best to crawl away and speak up, hoping to at least say something else to appease the woman and delay the inevitable.
It was too late however, and just as he was able to even do anything else, a bullet was struck directly into his forehead, ending him right on the spot.
After kicking the lifeless corpse and making sure that the man was indeed dead, the woman walked over to the metal can that was near the middle of the warehouse and took off her bastball hat, face mask, jacket hoodie, and contact lenses.
Then, she threw them into the can, took a lighter out, and set them ablaze in a small fire.
From there, it was revealed that she had beautiful long deep pink hair that gleamed in the dim light, a captivating pair of amethyst-purple eyes that could easily sway almost any heart with a single look, and smooth, soft skin that had absolutely no blemishes or flaws to be seen.
But despite her absolutely gorgeous appearances, the look in her eyes were anything but soft and gentle.
After all, this was Aurora Scarlett, in her real form.
"That makes it the 6th group of despicable scums I've killed so far in this life." Aurora murmured to herself and then felt a sharp pain coming from her abdomen.
As such, she couldn't help but hold onto her stomach and let out a small groan.
"Ugh, why does it still hurt this badly?" Aurora couldn't help but express her frustration while thinking about it.
Seriously, even after she had thought about it all day while taking out the bastards who have killed her in the past, she still couldn't understand.
Why was Eric Porter, the 10th person to have killed her in the past during her 9th regression so vastly different from everyone who has killed her before?
Initially, she had thought it had something to do with the butterfly effect as a result of her doing something slightly different the day she regressed back again, but this change was too vast and too sudden to be possible.
She had also hypothesized that maybe perhaps she had regressed into an alternative timeline where everyone had a different past and grew up in a different environment or something, but she had looked into Eric's past and family history a little bit today after her encounter with him, and even that hasn't changed in the slightest.
Furthermore, after looking into the people that has killed her after Eric in the other regressions as well, none of them has changed in any manner whatsoever.
Only Eric was the only one ever in this life with this change.
And while there was the possibility that he might be in the same situation as her and he regressed after she killed him or something like that, which does explain how he just somehow magically knows her identity while she was disguised, Aurora felt that it was likely improbable.
After all, it still doesn't explain the elephant in the room.
'His lack of reaction to pain.'
Aurora noticed her hands trembling just thinking about it and removed the hand on her stomach to help steady it.
Anyways, putting that aside, since she didn't even want to think about it right now, the traps he had set up days ago in his penthouse were not something anyone would even consider installing if they valued their life deeply.
He had all sorts of explosives, toxins, deadly poisons, and much more that could kill almost anybody instantly if they were to be near it.
Even the dumbest person in the entire world would never put these things up in their house without at least some kind of proper protection for themselves.
And yet, he had them scattered all over the penthouse at a range that could definitely harm or at the very least affect him without having any measures in place to protect himself at all.
That was why when Aurora had disarmed all of the traps and approached him while he was sleeping peacefully at his bed that night, she ended up not killing him right then and there.
Because she wasn't sure what else this psycho had in store for her that she might've missed, and she didn't want to risk it.
"..."
Aurora stared at the fire in the can, watching as the last pieces of her disguise slowly turned to ashes.
In the end, no matter how much she dug through her brain, she couldn't figure out the cause of his change in behavior or personality in this life, and just even thinking about his face made her heart beat in fear like crazy.
Still, as long as she was alive in this life, she won't give up and will make the most of it to uncover the reason behind the attempts on her life.
So that one day, she can finally end the regression cycle once and for all and find peace at last.
No matter what.
