Arthur's Soul drifted over the vast sky of rainbow colored essence in the world of Arebos, on a mission to claim the divine soul seed. The Current Arthur was far different from the Arthur that had died and just wandered into the void.
He did not know how long that had been as he didn't experience time in days, months or years while drifting within the void.
But it felt like a different life time away.
After peering into the world of Arebos, they had returned to his soul space where Ra had outlined his mission. Arthur would travel into the world of Arebos, cultivate spirit energy sufficient enough for him to construct a spirit vessel and incarnate as a spirit being.
He would then wonder the pocket world in which the Divine soul seed dwelt and would claim it for himself. To achieve this, Arthur would have to battle his way through the ferocious spirit beasts that called that territory their habitat. And he would have to live.
What Ra put Arthur through after imparting that mission was battle training. With Zero experience in battle, Arthur's body would be destroyed by the spirit beasts he would encounter.
Ra conjured Various imaginary creatures and had Arthur face off against them. It was all within his consciousness but the experience felt real and genuine. Each moment was imprinted upon Arthur and it felt like he had truly lived that training.
It had begun with one beast. it had ripped him to pieces, Until he learnt how to kill it. Ra had thrown as many as 10 creatures all at once at Arthur until he could hold his ground.
Arthur learnt how to wield spirit energy as a weapon.
The other training experience was spirit energy cultivation. Souls in this world naturally spirit energy about them. The spirit energy would accumulate around the soul until it condensed spirit core within which the soul would dwell.
The core absorbed ambient spirit energy and condensed it into spirit essence that both nourished the soul and would be used to weave a spirit body for the soul to incarnate into the spirit World.
Ra's cultivation method would allow Arthur to speed up the process, so that he wouldn't take too long in this world. After all Arthur had to get back to the hero.
Arthur was not just a soul, with his will Awakened, he was a spiritual lifeform. A being of Will and energy. The more soul energy he possessed the stronger his Will would be. He was different from other souls whose will would awaken within their spirit bodies. Those souls had to reply upon the Cosmic laws that guided the relationship between souls and spirit energy to incarnate.
Arthur possessed an active will of his own. His path would be different.
Entering into the world of Arebos had depleted most of Arthur's energy reserves leaving his core looking dull and him feeling less and less of himself with his consciousness flickering. However he was in a world where cosmic forces guided spirit energy towards souls.
As soon as he floated amid the luminous expanse littered with countless glowing Pearls, spirit energy had started flowing towards his soul, swirling around it.
Arthur had reached out with his weakening will. But it was enough. He willed the energies revolving around his soul inwards, towards his soul core. The threads of energy flowed into his core mixing with the residual soul energy.
This energy was assimilated into his core, becoming part of Arthur's soul. The dull core gained a luster as more threads of spirit energy were being pulled in by his will and Arthur's sense of existence recovered.
He drifted across the sky, swimming in such a rich sea of spiritual energy and drinking it like a starving man. His soul core blazed with power as more and more spirit energy was absorbed and assimilated into it.
currents of blue and gold, red and green flowed towards him and formed a whirlwind of spirit energy around his soul. As his soul energy grew, so did the strength of his Will. And as his will grew, so did it pull at more energy into his soul Cultivating his soul energy.
Soul Cultivation!
Waves of Arthur's soul energy carried his Will to a great radius around his soul, pulling at numerous threads of energy, all of them converging around his soul and being willed inside by Arthur, until his soul shone, golden and blue light radiating from it.
Arthur was lost in this cultivation. All sense of time gone. He enjoyed the flow of energy around and within him. His sense of himself became stronger, his awareness vast and his consciousness discovered new heights of sentience and clarity. It was ecstatic.
His soul core evolved gaining the ability to drink in the gathering spirit energy on its own.
Arthur's blazing soul dived through the sky, a comet of Spirit energy flowing in his wake as his soul dipped into the infinite sea of essence. This sea had the highest concentration of spiritual energy and essence in all of this cosmos.
Spirit beings could not exist within as their essence would be assimilated into the endless sea of essence. Only God level spirits could dwell within these waters. Arthur was neither.
He was only a soul, and souls were protected by cosmic forces in exchange for them being unable to influence the world.
But Arthur's Will was awake. That would be all the difference!
Diving into the depth of the ocean, felt like a man dying of thirst suddenly falling into an ocean of water. More water than they could ever desire, at the pain of death by drowning!
Large ocean currents of spirit energy were drawn towards his soul, threatening to consume him whole. Arthur pushed against them with the full might of his will, even as his soul absorbed what it could.
While cosmic law protected souls, Arthur was risking his soul by actively absorbing the spirit energy. If his soul core was overwhelmed, it could shatter and his existence would end.
Yet the risk was worthwhile. Arthur had to grow in power. His mind had shied away from the desolate knowledge that the demon king could see the fate of Terros as his forces conquered it. That whatever plan Arthur came up with to save the hero, the demon king would find a counter to ensure his victory. Without an answer to that problem, he had to focus on growing strong.
Strong enough to stand by the hero. Strong enough to Carry the hero to discover more power. Strength would be a start.
And so as his soul drunk from the ocean of essence, His Will pushed the currents back, protecting the thirsty man from drowning.
He drew upon precious memories to fuel his Will. Memories from his dreams. Moments from the hero's life that had given him courage to cling on to life. When his body had been subjected to needles, tubes and drugs in hopes of curing him, and his dreams had been the only escape from the weakness, pain and discomfort.
Those memories fueled his will and it raged like a force against the tide of essence beating at him.
Ra had guided him to this world to make him stronger. And he would attain what power he could here. He had a moment of introspection where he realized Ra was like his own Power system, just as the Hero had the Wisdom of Gaea.
After a time that felt like eons, Arthur's form drifted out of the Ocean of energy.
His Astral form floated above the sea, in a world without day and night, and about him clung a nimbus of spirit energy, held by the pull of his soul core. His core brimmed with energy and the force of his will, roiled about it like a gravity wave.
According to Ra his soul had evolved. If he was a spiritual lifeform before, now he was a Greater spiritual lifeform. His soul core was now like a bright moon before Ra's Red sun!
The more powerful Arthur begun his drift across the ocean. To the target pocket
realm. To claim the divine soul seed.

Notes: Arthur has a unique soul. His soul, with only an astral shell has the ability to travel freely within any world, including traveling beyond a world's Cosmic boundaries and entering another. His unique soul was able to survive in the void between worlds without corruption. This mysterious universal astral travel is completely out of cosmic laws and forces.
Arthur was stuck in a weak body and he found life watching the hero of another world in his dreams. Arthur has developed a strange attachment to the Hero's existence that borders religious belief. He has made it his goal to help the hero find a way to defeat the demon King and save the Hero's world Terros.
Personal notes: I plan to help Arthur on his quest. I will help him attain power by taking advantage of his ability and traveling to into various worlds to claim what powers they have. I want Arthur to reach the Pinnacle of power and stand before the demon king.
