Louis POV
I wake to the soft scent of flowers and powder drifting in the air. My eyes flutter open, slowly adjusting to the gentle morning light.
The room feels cool against my skin, yet my body is wrapped in warmth. I glance down and find Claire curled around my waist, her legs draped lazily over mine.
The sight fills me with a quiet, overwhelming joy. A smile spreads across my face unbidden. This is a view I could happily wake up to every single day.
I smile wider, my hand gently brushing a stray lock of hair from Claire's face as she sleeps peacefully against me. Her breathing is soft and even, her body molded perfectly to mine like she belongs there.
The morning light filters through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over her features. She looks so serene, so vulnerable in this moment, and it stirs something deep inside me—a quiet contentment mixed with a fierce protectiveness.
