Chapter 95 - Chapter 95

The captain's bridge of the "Dreadnought" wasn't exactly spacious. And considering it was filled with droids and sentient "Black Sun" bandits, it was downright cramped. But that bothered me little. Seeing no further point in pleasantries, I charged. Syndicate soldiers fired at me, but halfway there, I simply jumped, enhancing my physical abilities. The cocktail of physical enhancement techniques continued to work. At times, on my way to the captain's bridge, I would slightly weaken, or disable the technique, "to restore stamina," which the gifted ones here had. In particular, physical enhancement techniques, even those I applied with adjustments based on Matukai knowledge, depleted physical stamina.

But here, the logic is extremely simple. I'm not fighting at one hundred percent of my current power. Going all out is necessary, and that's a fact, only in incredibly important battles. That's when all stats are cranked to "maximum." So-called "boss fights." In my case, these are significant duels against strong enemies. Just like now, I was moving at peak speed. And at this pace, I can fight long enough to deal with everyone present, including allies. Droids, like ordinary sentients, were slow when I simply jumped over them, finding myself in front of Garin's chair. A lightsaber swing should have taken his arm, but I noticed the glint of a vibroblade. It was flying straight at my head.

"Defending your boss, Migella," I blocked the attack. She swung her other hand, creating something resembling ropes. It seemed like a rather primitive ability, but my intuition advised me not to even touch these ropes. Jumping back, I found myself facing the fact that sentients and droids of the criminal syndicate were behind me... Or rather, I should have. Lora and NK, judging by the noise and commotion, had started dealing with the enemies; I only had to kill four before I turned my attention back to Alexi and Migella. The man stood up, drawing a blaster in his left hand and a sword in his right.

"Damn Hornly," Garin exclaimed. "He sent a Jedi after me."

"Sent me?" I tilted my head. "Oh no, I'm here on my own initiative. You can tell me a lot," I pointed my sword at the man. "The rest doesn't matter."

"It only doesn't matter to you," the crime lord said. Aiming the hand with the blaster at me, he fired. And I must say, a gifted person with a blaster is quite a dangerous phenomenon. With the Force, you can predict where the target will be, attack the most unprotected spot. And he was much more talented in this area than Jarko Itari, despite Jarko being older... Although this is related to style; Jarko herself preferred to stay away from direct combat, unlike Garin, who participated in battles directly many times. I was already using two swords against them. Twirling my swords, I began to deflect the shots aside. Although to what end... One shot I not only managed to deflect but also directed towards Migella. The witch dodged it. Because of this action, Garin was forced to get distracted and stop shooting, which I took advantage of, accelerating to the limit and closing the distance. A moment later, Garin's pupils widened in surprise as he found me in front of him. I struck without the intention of killing...

However, cutting off an arm or a leg wouldn't stop me. The main thing, after all, is not the head. I don't want to waste the medallion's power on him. At the same time, my blows were too fast for Garin's perception. After deflecting the first two blows, which landed on his wrist and leg, and even then at the limit of my capabilities, he began to back away, quickly bumping into his own chair.

"Huh?" He was distracted by this fact, and then he did a backflip, jumping over the chair and landing near the ship's control panels, behind which were the B1 droids. I followed him. Jumping in front of him, I felt Migella's blow to my back. The girl delivered a direct thrust, but I quickly turned and deflected the blow. Garin will shoot again... Shoving Migella away with telekinesis, I turned to the man and, twirling my lightsabers, deflected a couple of shots. I need to get rid of his blaster. I tried to telekinetically rip the weapon from his hands, but he, being gifted, could resist it, albeit weakly. But the fact that Migella attacked me again made me get distracted and move aside. The girl, carried by the inertia of her thrust, ended up in front of me. I was about to kill her, but she suddenly ducked, and a blaster bolt flew right into my face. I ducked myself, performing the "dragon's tail" move in the form of a sweep. A spinning kick was one of my favorite close-combat moves. And one of those I used even when armed with lightsabers and fighting with weapons.

The sweep threw Migella off balance. The blaster shot flew over my head. However, I must give her credit, the witch dodged the lethal blow I was aiming at her head. Literally rolling away, she began to deform the ship, causing spikes to grow directly from the floor.

"Migella! I asked you not to use that attack on my ship!" Garin's loud exclamation was heard.

"Circumstances force me," the girl said. "Look, even this is useless against him," she nodded at me as I, twirling, cut down the spikes from the steel floor of the dreadnought with my lightsabers, and then even bent them with telekinesis. "This Jedi is incredibly dangerous."

"I feel it myself, but he's too arrogant, that will be his downfall..."

"May I ask, in what way am I arrogant, Alexi?" I inquired.

"You decided to fight alone against both of us. Those two: the droid and Lora have already finished eliminating my guards and are now just watching our fight, not interfering. This is not efficient; you could have quickly finished the fight with me and Migella if you had accepted the help of those two. You have much better sensory perception and couldn't have missed their victory."

"Hah," I chuckled. "It's true, I felt their victory. But I'm not accepting their help not because I'm arrogant. No... NK and Lora are excellent at eliminating their targets, and they might not have held back. Especially Lora. And I wield weapons that are much more civilized, from a more civilized era. In addition, I accept help from allies if I understand that the enemy is too strong for me alone. But tell me: do you really consider yourself and Migella too strong to defeat me? You are mistaken even to think that a completely ordinary Jedi has come against you."

"Then," Migella stepped forward, "you are also mistaken to think that a simple Dathomirian witch and a simple self-taught person has come against you!" She pointed her hand at me, and tendrils of Force lightning shot from her fingers. Lora let out a gasp of fear... Indeed, they look terrifying, but... I'm not so easily fooled either.

Deactivating the lightsaber in my left hand, I pointed my hand towards the witch's attack... A moment later, Force lightning also shot from it, which was emerald green. The girl's eyes widened in surprise as the lightning collided. In the collision, Light side lightning should lose, at least Revan said that the lightning technique belongs more to the Dark side of the Force, and through emotions of rage, anger, and hatred, which Sith use, lightning can be made very strong. However, my abilities were enough to neutralize Migella's attack.

"A Jedi who wields Force lightning?" the witch asked in surprise. "Who taught you that?"

"Not your concern," I said calmly. "All your tricks, Dathomirian witch Migella, are visible to me," I sent a wave of telekinesis, interrupting her next attempt to entangle me. She again used matter transformation and tried to impale me on spikes, but the spikes were also knocked down by the wave of telekinesis.

Garin started shooting again, but I deflected his shots too. I could have continued to press them, but I decided I'd played enough. Besides, the fight outside had become too heated, and it was time to end everything at once. And they stood in the very configuration that was best suited for my teleportation attack. Heavenly Palm... Directly behind Garin was a B1 droid; blaster shots and another Force lightning bolt were flying at me. A moment later, I swapped places with the droid... At first, they felt joy, as their attacks had finally hit the target...

"Tell me, why are you so happy?" I asked.

"What the..." Garin only turned around and immediately lost his left arm with the blaster. He tried to attack me with his vibroblade, but I lifted him into the air with the Force and slammed him to the floor. Pinning Alexi to the floor with my foot, I attacked Migella. Force lightning hit the Dathomirian, and she didn't have time to defend herself. Then I telekinetically threw her into the windshield of the captain's bridge. The girl wasn't ready for this either, spitting blood from the pain. It all ended with me moving her closer and dousing her with Force lightning again. And the fight is turning out to be a bit exhausting. However, I didn't show any hint of fatigue. I'll rest later.

"Well?" I asked the pair. My right foot was on Alexi's chest, and the green blade emanating from the lightsaber hilt in my right hand was near the Dathomirian witch's neck. "Are you satisfied with the result?"

"Rancor shit," the Dathomirian spat. "He's on a completely different level."

"Glad you admit it," I grinned, not sheathing my sword. "Now let's talk about your fate. It's not as bleak as it might seem. Lora, of course, definitely wants to take your head off," I looked at the Mandalorian. "But it so happened that I defeated you, and what Lora can do with you is only advice. Whether I take her advice... or not... depends only on you, Alexi Garin."

"Hutt," he said. "What do you want? Are you going to try to recruit me as an agent of influence in the Syndicate?"

An interesting thought, indeed. If you think about it, crime can never be defeated. It can only be tried to be controlled. And Alexi would be perfect as the leader of one of the "controlled criminal factions." Only... The "Black Sun" Syndicate is too branched and developed. It has a couple of levels of protection against such leaders. It cannot be fully subjugated... Only influenced... Ideally, the Syndicate should be completely destroyed, or reduced to a weak level, and my own group should be created in its place. But that's a matter for the future; for now, I don't even have my own team, nor anyone to whom I could entrust such actions. Alexi is not suitable... The organization is too powerful, and too many of its members could cause trouble, even if Garin commanded them from start to finish. He can only be used as a spy... However, even that shouldn't be counted on too much... They might guess that I recruited him, which is why I let him go. And his career could end very quickly.

"Perhaps I won't recruit you as the 'future head of the Black Sun'; your organization is too large to recruit you under these circumstances, although there are prospects for such an agreement, but you're unlikely to agree with how I would transform the Syndicate. Your subordinates even less so, as well as the Vigo council. And running across the galaxy and destroying Vigo to replace them with loyal ones, and whether it will work... I have much more important things to do," no matter how I feel about criminals, the fact is undeniable – I will have to deal with them. I will even have to create a structure that will operate in the shadow world, because – if you can't beat them, then lead them. Simple logic. "But as a spy, you are most valuable."

"Do you expect me to betray my organization?" Garin asked.

"No. I need you to spy not on the organization, but to obtain evidence against your current boss. Kabra."

"You want to get rid of him..."

"And you don't?" I stepped away from Garin, and he could finally sit down. Sitting cross-legged, the man bored into me with his gaze. "I've heard a lot about you. Even those who have no connection to your Syndicate have heard of you, 'The Executioner.' Is that what your own people call you? You're building a reputation, primarily among your own, to lead the Syndicate."

"Everyone in the 'Black Sun' does that," Migella said.

"And I don't condemn it," I shrugged. The fight was still going on and hadn't reached any tangible results yet. "Even this war is a means to raise your reputation..."

"Oh no," Garin shook his head. The tone of his voice changed, and a wave of rage emanated from him. "This war is the result of betrayal," he looked at Lora. "Gaven Hornly betrayed me and didn't act according to the plan."

"The plan?" Lora asked loudly.

"So it was a plan after all," I smirked.

"Correct," Alexi confirmed. "Gaven joined the organization with me; I've known him for a long time. And it so happened that we both went to serve different Vigo – Dalridn and Kabra. Not long ago, these two Vigo were at odds for the title of Chief Boss of the 'Black Sun.' I intended to become the new Boss, but I simply lacked the influence for it. If not this time, then next. Gaven was my 'friend,' if you can call it that. He proposed a plan, quite simple in my opinion. It was that Dalridn dies, he died with his help, not on Kabra's orders, as many thought. Gaven intended to become a Vigo; he had quite tangible chances. And then, after joining the Vigo Council, when Kabra retires, he would have brought me to the position of the new Chief Boss of the organization. But everything went wrong from the start. Dalridn was an asshole, but not a fool. He realized what Hornly was planning for him and took precautions. Hornly managed to kill him, yes, but a holorecording of who killed the Vigo spread on our organization's network. Gaven had no choice but to leave, and the council sent me to pursue him."

"So that's what it is," Lora said.

"Remark: stupid organics."

"And what happened next?" I asked him.

"And then everything was quite simple. Not long ago, I managed to find him on Ambria, we fought, and then he offered me a new plan. And it seemed very promising to me, and it still seems very promising... I needed scale!" Garin exclaimed loudly. "An act that would make me a pole of power, and the Vigo would reckon with me. Gaven was supposed to gather a group that would start destroying our bases, destroying our smuggling ships, pirating our routes, destroying production... In short, he was supposed to create a tangible threat. And with my help, he really achieved a lot..."

"So you were the 'source' from the organization!" Lora exclaimed in surprise. "You were leaking 'Black Sun' data to us!"

"Correct," Garin confirmed. "However, Hornly turned out to be quite an asshole," he said. "I spared him, for my life, twice! The first time, when it became known who killed Dalridn. We can frame each other, play in the shadows, but the rule is one – you don't kill your own. Gaven killed Dalridn..."

"I won't believe that you don't kill each other," I snorted, crossing my arms. "You are criminals, Alexi," I reminded him. "There are definitely ninety percent more scumbags among you than among ordinary sentients."

"I understand your skepticism," Garin said. "The goal is not to get caught if you want to deal with a competitor within the organization. However, it wasn't enough for him. He acted too broadly and attracted the attention of the Jedi. Including yours. And here's my question... Is this his natural carelessness, or sabotage?"

"You're both good," I said, closing my eyes. What to do? By killing Garin now, I could declare the PMC "Luna" the winner. It's clear they would defeat the "Black Sun" without a leader. However... What are Gaven Hornly's further plans? Everything has become a little more complicated. "And what did he plan?" I asked Alexi. "Any ideas? If I were him, I'd disappear somewhere in the Unknown Regions and stay out of sight after the failure with Dalridn. But instead, he offered you such a plan... What are his true motives? Hmm... On the other hand, does it personally matter to me? That those criminals, that you are criminals. Both factions under the knife and end of story."

"Wait," Lora said. "Maybe we should talk to Gaven?"

"Well, at least we need to demand a ceasefire from him," I should have done that at the beginning of the conversation. But I got too carried away. "NK, call Hornly's flagship."

The droid approached the computer and extended a probe to connect to the terminal. Hornly's figure appeared almost instantly. He seemed not to hesitate even when accepting the call.

"Alexi..." he looked at Garin. "No... Jedi," he turned his attention to me. "I see you haven't wasted time and have even managed to capture Garin. Bring him to my flagship and let him stop the fighting."

"Not before your subordinates do," Garin said.

"You lost and dare to say that..."

"I lost not to you, but to the Jedi, which I admit. And by right of the strong, he has the right to demand anything he wants from me."

"And I, as an ally, want to inform my ally, Gaven, that there is no longer any need for fighting. 'Black Sun' will cease fire, along with 'Luna,' Gaven."

"Very well," the man gritted out. "Zelmen," he called a Lasat. "Let ours stop fighting and return to their positions."

The Lasat appeared in the frame for a moment, turned, and disappeared. "Luna" indeed ceased fire. Meanwhile, I looked at Garin, and he informed his people via datapad about the ceasefire.

"Now will you take him to my flagship?" the man asked.

"Not before you answer the questions. I'm interested in your motivation..."

"I am not your subordinate, but merely an ally, and I am not obliged to answer your questions!" Gaven said maliciously.

"Well, if it were a normal situation – yes, but I just talked to Alexi Garin... And I didn't feel like he was lying. He's not telling the whole truth, but he's not lying, that's for sure. I have questions... about your motivation, Gaven. And depending on your answers – depends on the future of your organization."

"Gaven!" Lora drew his attention. "Did you really conspire with Garin to 'give him reputation'?"

"I was seriously injured by him on Ambria," the man said, pursing his lips. "And I offered Garin exactly the deal he was interested in to escape."

"An interesting interpretation," I noted. "If you wanted to escape, Hornly, you would have escaped, not started 'executing' the terms of the agreement. But you gathered a whole group. And, interestingly, you even got 'Dreadnoughts' somewhere... A fugitive who killed his own boss has so many resources. Where from? The Pyke Syndicate? Hutts? Who supplied you with all this, will you answer?"

"I am not obliged..."

"Oh no," I interrupted him. "You are obliged. Because everything depends on it. Including your life. However... I have assumptions. Not long ago, Alexi told me a story in which he said you joined the organization together. It's logical to assume that you built your reputation together for some time... And then you were noticed by Vigo – Dalridn and Kabra, old rivals. Kabra's personality description: suspicious, mistrustful, paranoid. This is just a guess, but it's quite possible that you never served Dalridn. Instead, you were Kabra's spy with Dalridn, and then you killed the latter, on Kabra's orders. But you were careless, and you were discovered. Escaping from the syndicate, you seemed to lie low, but Alexi Garin and Migella tracked you down. In an attempt to survive, you made an agreement with him about a 'reputation war,' but when you started acting, Kabra contacted you again. What did he offer you? What will he take back if you eliminate the repute-gaining Alexi Garin, who could displace Kabra in the next five to ten years?"

"Do you realize you're talking nonsense?" Hornly asked calmly. "Why would I do something like that?"

"Oh, so you know it's not nonsense?" I asked. "If you know the truth, then maybe you'll tell it to me, your ally, and to Lora... a subordinate. Otherwise, you know, I feel her doubts. And I, you see, am a combat-type Jedi, not an empath."

"I don't work for Kabra," Gaven Hornly said.

"And who do you work for? Jabba? The Pyke Syndicate?" Lora asked. "You know, boss, your actions are becoming too strange. We've successfully avoided counter-actions from the 'Black Sun' for several years. I even helped eliminate Vigo – Jarko Itari... We avoided direct confrontation, partly because the forces were too unequal. And now something strange is suddenly happening. We're getting drawn into an almost full-blown war! Which we successfully avoided. You seem to have deliberately wanted to pit us against Garin. But what is your goal, Gaven? What do you want to achieve with this? Are you working for Kabra? For Jabba? The Pykes? Or are you still in cahoots with Garin?"

"My plan doesn't concern you, Lora, nor you, Jedi. I will do everything to ensure my PMC prospers."

"So... we won't get answers to the questions," I concluded.

"You will. As soon as you connect with the Force! Everyone! Continue the attack on the 'Black Sun.' And... Commander Lora's forces have betrayed me and the interests of PMC 'Luna.' According to our organization's code – they must be destroyed."

The PMC ships opened fire, simultaneously beginning to close in.

"That's all," Gaven said, his hologram disappearing.

"What a bantha poodoo!" Lora exclaimed.

"Now will you join us?" Alexi asked.

"No, that's not necessary," I activated my datapad. "Fimor," I called my friend. "The configuration has changed. Get as far away from the 'Luna' ships as possible."

"You're not going to... Understood."

After all, it wasn't for nothing that I uploaded a virus into their system. A useful development. Reactor overload, and most of their ships either went into a non-combat state or simply exploded. By the way, I focused on the flagship "Dreadnought," which I ordered destroyed. Tens of thousands of sentients died simultaneously.

"One can fall from such a background," Fimor remarked, his fighter heading towards Lora's "Dreadnought." Her subordinates were now talking to the Mandalorian.

"If you can fall from the death of your enemies, then I pity you," I said to Fimor. "Damn this Gaven Hornley to hell. The Council will skin me alive," deactivating the connection with Fimor, I turned to Garin. "It's quite likely that the scenario with Gaven working for Kabra is the most plausible. In that case, I'd advise you to get rid of Kabra as soon as possible, but don't make any mistakes. I won't kill you, Garin, I won't even capture you, because you can be useful. I've received interesting information that Kabra might be under the control of very powerful dark force-sensitives who could be involved in financial and political machinations at the highest levels of the Republic. Get me proof, and consider your debt for your life settled. I need names, holorecords, and evidence."

"Is that your feeling, or are you absolutely sure?" Garin asked.

"Sure..."

"Without the sanction of the High Council, you went to participate in a war between criminal organizations!" Even Piell exclaimed indignantly when I contacted the Jedi from my ship. Fimor stood next to me, also receiving verbal "scolding" from the Masters. Piell and Kress were the most furious. "And then: you destroyed an entire fleet using a computer virus that was a secret development of our ice-cutters, let go of a man who is wanted in a couple of dozen sectors as a criminal, and let go of the remnants of the 'Luna' PMC with one of its former commanders."

Yes, I did all that. Garin went to spy for me in the 'Black Sun'. He's in contact with Kabra and, in theory, can give me a couple of leads to Plagueis and Sidious. By pulling on them, I could, when necessary, bring this pair into the light. And Lora... I saw no point in killing her. She seemed broken after everything that happened. So I just let her go. She has enough conscience not to start doing any nonsense. And she herself was a criminal with a very big stretch. A mercenary... whose existence the laws of the galaxy tolerate. Her battered ships left with her.

"Master Even," I sighed. "I understand your indignation. But I saw no other options. If Gaven Hornley had succeeded, it's quite possible his victories could have been used by the Hutts. They would have struck the PMC, absorbed it, and only gotten stronger. Besides, Hornley's motivation was not entirely clear. It's quite possible he was also working for Kabra, but very carelessly. Everything could have led to a war between the Hutts and the 'Black Sun'. And these are the two largest criminal organizations in the galaxy."

"I agree with Light," Tera Sainube said. He is a guardian and a specialist in the criminal world, especially Coruscant. The Kosian looked at Even. "There are too many oddities that we haven't uncovered. However, the fact is that Gaven's actions could have posed a threat not only to his counterpart from the 'Black Sun'."

"The fact that he didn't inform the Council, that's the problem," Piell said.

"With all due respect, the Council could have taken too long to decide how we should intervene. There was no time left. I eliminated Hornley and his plans, no matter who he worked for... As for Alexi... After the battle, I was too exhausted, and he took advantage of that. Wounding Lora, he distracted me. His subordinate is a strong Dathomirian who can use Force lightning," the Masters exchanged glances. "So I didn't let him go, he just managed to escape. Why did you suddenly decide I let him go? It's more logical to say 'I let him slip away'."

"How dangerous is this Dathomirian, Migella?" Piell asked, glaring at me.

"For ordinary Jedi, she is deadly dangerous," I closed my eyes. "Force lightning, control of the environment, which Dathomirians use. And this must be taken into account that she clearly didn't use part of her magic, fearing to inflict too serious damage on the flagship. Garin, on the other hand... He uses the Force like a self-taught person. With its help, he has improved reflexes. He shoots better, can fence. Of this pair, Migella is more dangerous. I believe they have already returned to Kabra, reporting that Hornley is dead. His death has been confirmed."

"And still, your suitability for your position, Light, can be questioned," Kress said. "You acted not like a Jedi, but almost like a criminal."

"You cannot accuse me of anything, Master Kress," I said, drawing his attention. "I acted according to the laws. Yes, on the edge, but according to the laws. The criminal organization is dead. We prevented a large-scale war between the Hutts and the 'Black Sun'. With the death of Hornley and his organization, we have confused the figures on the holotactics of his patrons, whoever they may be. Of course, this cannot be called a hundred percent victory, but it is not a defeat either."

"I agree," the Grand Master said. "As does the Council, I believe."

"And I don't," Piell replied. "You have almost no discipline, Light," the Lannik looked at me with a stern gaze. "You were made a knight too early and clearly not taught enough. In terms of combat abilities, you have talent, I won't hide it. But otherwise, you are too impulsive and impatient."

"And I agree with your remarks, Master," I said coldly. "For which, may the Force bear witness, I apologize. I apologize to the High Council," some looked at me with surprise. "For deciding the situation quickly and radically, preventing it from escalating into a war between the largest criminal organizations in the galaxy. I ask for forgiveness for this, in the context of my impatience, Master Piell."

"Don't try to wriggle out of it, Knight Light," Yarael Poof joined the conversation. "The Master made a remark to you. Accept it as a Jedi should. If you want to joke, joke anywhere, but not during a report."

The Quermian is a temporary member of the High Council, he is practically re-elected. Although I remember that later he was definitely a permanent member, seemingly after Stark's Hyperspace War. Usually, Yarael acts to pacify the debaters.

"And you, Master Piell," the Quermian continued. "You are too strict with Light. He did everything he could and achieved much more than many others would have in his circumstances."

"I have already apologized, Masters," I bowed slightly.

"Perhaps I was too harsh with you, Light," Piell said. "But... there is another circumstance that requires your explanation," he pressed a couple of buttons on his datapad. An image of HK-47 was displayed before us. "The droid HK-47, once belonging to Revan, that very one. You appropriated it."

"I found it myself," I shrugged. "Reprogrammed it, flashed it, and repaired it. Now it's my protocol droid."

"HK-47, apparently, has some decisions not typical of droid construction of Revan's era," Jan Dooku remarked. "The efficiency of this droid, according to archival records, was off the charts for its time."

"And it hasn't lost its skills," I noted. "It just needed some lubrication, a couple of parts replaced, and now it's my HK-47. The reason for its functionality is most likely that Revan managed to stumble upon Iokath during his travels. This is a highly developed race from the Manderon period, known for its droid construction. The archives say that Iokath and its technologies were destroyed by the Hero of Tython."

"This is high-level information," Yoda said. "The study of Revan's personality and everything related to him is dangerous."

"I agree with that, but having found traces of HK-47, I decided to take the risk, and it paid off. The ship that crashed on Mustafar was heading for Coruscant, although the coordinates were entered at the last moment. It seems that initially they were different, and HK changed them, who, without an organic master... doesn't like them very much."

"Then it's even more dangerous," Piell remarked.

"However, I reprogrammed it, even bypassing the highest security that Revan installed. I vouch for this droid, it recognizes me as its true master," yes, the test for it was quite a hassle.

"Under your responsibility, you believe we should leave it to you?" Yoda asked.

"Yes, I don't intend to let you down on this matter."

"I hope so," Piell snorted. "Well, and you, Knight Fimor, do you have anything to add?"

"No," my companion shook his head. "I have nothing to add to what I have written and submitted to the Council. I can only note that Light acted correctly. Perhaps not like a Jedi, but like a reasonable inhabitant of the galaxy who can influence something."

"That's what causes the dispute," Dooku noted.

"In such a case, we must conclude the reports," Yoda remarked. "Thank you, Light, Fimor... Fimor, you will have a mission to complete on Corellia. You must head there."

"And will there be a mission for my profile?" I asked the Council.

"Check the forum," Piell said. "There is no specialized mission for you yet. We are, by the way, counting the situation at planet Ruun as a completed mission for you. However, it will be classified."

I just shrugged and bowed slightly.

"May the Force be with you, Masters," Fimor and I said simultaneously, bidding farewell.

"May the Force be with you, young knights," Yoda said. I disconnected the communication.

"Phew," Fimor exhaled. "What a headache they gave you. Although you asked for it."

"Piell can really chew your brain... But partly he's right," Fimor looked at me with surprise. "I mean that without supervision, young Jedi can cause trouble. Although sometimes, literally, there is no other option but to act... Well, okay. Shall I drop you off at Corellia?"

"Ah, work again," he sighed sadly. "No, I'll get there on my fighter. I should pick it up soon, otherwise your Lora will throw it into space and shoot it down with cannons."

"I don't think she's that emotional..."

"I'd prefer not to risk it," my former clan comrade noted. "All the best, Light. And don't linger here. I know which women to annoy and which ones are better left alone."

"Hah, and when did you learn about women, my friend? I have more experience in that."

"You're bragging about something. Only stupid teenagers brag about their experience with women."

"You brought it up first, not me," I grinned back at Fimor. "In any case," I shook his hand. "May the Force be with you."

"And with you," he left my ship.

Well then... There was no victory here. I never understood who Gaven Hornley worked for, how much he could have been supported. He just killed so many sentient beings... But at least I got a promising spy in the ranks of the 'Black Sun'... Who would call everything that happened a 'victory'? So, neither here nor there...

"Curiosity: where are we heading, master, how I hate that word."

"VV," I addressed the astromech. "Enter the coordinates. Coordinates N-7, Odjoster sector, Jebble system," Revan's ghost appeared nearby.

"You want to complete your training," the legendary Jedi said.
