Chapter 79 - Chapter 79 : Encountering a Certain Embarrassed Girl~

Yuto moved back and forth between various stores, buying light novels, manga, and more. He only bought a portion from each store.

After buying them, he carried them out and found a secluded spot to put them in his backpack.

This way, they could avoid drawing attention.

With so many people around, who would have the time to specifically track his movements? After all, Akihabara was also known as an electronics district.

The handheld consoles that Rimuru and Ainz wanted had matching accessories available here.

From the consoles to the games, everything was available.

While buying the handheld consoles, Yuto pondered a question.

That was, how did Rimuru and Ainz usually charge them?

Could it be they used magic to charge them? Wouldn't that cause the consoles to explode?

They couldn't possibly come to the restaurant to charge them every day.

That would be too absurd.

Yuto shook his head and continued shopping.

To be honest, buying light novels and manga was a minor issue.

The real problem was the gal games and the dakimakura that Ainz wanted...

When Yuto entered these stores, his expression remained calm and composed throughout.

From payment to leaving, it took less than two minutes in total.

The basic routine was—enter, buy, leave.

As the shopping spree neared its end, Yuto stood by the street in Akihabara. He looked up at the crowds and tall buildings around him.

He sighed softly.

Then he lifted the backpack in his hand again.

He couldn't help but feel a little surprised. Even though it contained so many things, the backpack still felt as light as it did at the beginning.

'Was this what a spatial storage device was like? It was truly amazing.'

Yuto remembered Ainz mentioning last night that items stored in the backpack wouldn't spoil.

If that was the case, then it could also be used to store ingredients. However, the opening of the backpack was a bit small.

Yuto decided to ask Ainz tonight if he had any larger spatial storage devices.

It would be best if it could be similar to a refrigerator.

Thud—

While he was lost in thought, he accidentally bumped into someone wearing a hat and sunglasses.

"Ah!"

After all, Yuto had been enhanced. He was fine, but the other person nearly fell to the ground.

Yuto reached out and grabbed the other person's hand. It was a girl's hand.

Plop, plop—

Two manga fell out of the other person's pocket as Yuto instinctively glanced at them.

"Blue... Campus... Love..."

Before he could get a clear look, the girl hurriedly picked them up.

At that moment, Yuto recognized who she was.

"Arato..-san?"

As soon as he said this, the other person's movements noticeably stiffened.

She looked at Yuto. Upon realizing it was him, she let out a sigh of relief.

"So it's you Kamisaka-kun."

This person was none other than Arato Hisako.

Hisako looked at Yuto with relief.

She pressed her hand against her pocket. She had just put the manga back, worried they might fall out again.

Yuto looked at Arato Hisako's outfit, feeling a bit puzzled. "Arato-san, why are you dressed like this..."

He didn't finish his sentence, but Hisako already understood.

The girl's face beneath the sunglasses instantly turned red, as if she were extremely embarrassed.

"Special circumstances..." she whispered in defense.

Her hands were clasped together, looking quite awkward.

Yuto chuckled softly at the sight of the girl like this.

He felt he probably understood.

People from prominent families... If they were discovered in a place like this, it would likely cause gossip!

"Well, then I won't ask."

Yuto's words made Arato Hisako sigh in relief.

Then, Arato Hisako looked at the backpack in Yuto's hand.

The girl's expression turned somewhat shocked!

"Could it be... Kamisaka-kun are you an otaku?"

Yuto waved his hand, indicating the girl was mistaken.

"Unfortunately, no. I'm buying these for a friend," Yuto said with a light laugh.

But Hisako's expression changed slightly, she was a bit skeptical of Yuto's words.

Friend.

These word could always refer to many things...

"Speaking of which, I never expected Arato-san to enjoy reading romance manga," Yuto remarked with some surprise.

He had thought people from prominent families would be very serious. He never imagined she would read shoujo romance manga.

Perhaps this is a temptation that no teenage girl can resist.

"Ah!? You saw!? No! That's not it! I wasn't buying them for myself!"

Contrary to Yuto's expectations, the girl reacted strongly.

Arato Hisako defended herself with great embarrassment.

The blush on her lovely face was like a ripple disturbing the calm surface of autumn water.

Her defensive posture made it hard for Yuto to believe her.

"Could it be that Arato-san is also buying them for a friend? For example... Nakiri-san?" Yuto pictured Erina in his mind.

Although she was quite arrogant, she seemed genuinely knowledgeable about cooking.

Last time, when he accompanied Utaha to Shibuya, he saw her serving as a judge for a cooking competition.

His teasing remark made Arato Hisako's body stiffen instantly!

Yuto's expression changed. "Could it be.?"

"No! It's not Lady Erina! Lady Erina would never read this kind of shoujo romance manga, let alone secretly send me out to buy it! It's for me! I'm buying it for myself!"

As soon as Yuto asked in surprise, he was fiercely and earnestly interrupted by Hisako.

The girl's face was flushed red!

But there was also a sense of determination and no regret.

As if she were bearing some kind of disgrace.

This demeanor made Yuto sigh inwardly.

'Child, you're giving yourself away too obviously...'

...

In a café, Yuto and Hisako were sitting opposite each other.

"Here you go."

The waiter placed the coffee in front of Yuto before slowly walking away.

The two were seated by the window.

Several idle female waiters at the front counter were watching them.

Yuto didn't mind.

But Arato Hisako frowned slightly under their gaze. She looked up toward the front counter.

Instantly, the gathered waiters scattered.

Although she had felt deeply embarrassed when she first ran into Yuto, she was, after all, from a prominent family.

Having accompanied Erina, she had undergone considerable training.

She carried an air of authority about her.

Ordinary girls would flee in panic under her serious gaze.

Yuto chuckled softly at Hisako's actions. He had originally intended to leave but was stopped by Hisako.

"How about having a cup of coffee together?" The girl had said to him at the time.

Yuto had nothing else to do, so he nodded in agreement.

"Arato-san, is there something you wanted to discuss?" Yuto leaned back slightly against the sofa.

His gaze was calm and gentle as he looked at the girl. Though he had been somewhat exasperated by Erina at the time, he didn't hold any resentment toward her in his heart.

He actually had a rather favorable impression of Hisako, who had been serving as Erina's secretary all along.

Arato Hisako still seemed unable to calm down because of what had just happened.

When she heard Yuto's words, she paused for a moment before reacting.

"My apologies." The girl nodded politely, then looked seriously at Yuto. "Kamisaka-kun, are you really not planning to join Totsuki Academy?"

Hearing Hisako's question, Yuto sighed helplessly.

"Arato-san, I believe I've already answered a similar question before."

After Yuto said this, Hisako's expression froze slightly.

Yuto raised an eyebrow slightly. "If I haven't told you, then I must have told Nakiri-san."

Yuto thought for a moment.

The girl's eyes clearly showed a hint of confusion.

He looked at Arato Hisako, sighed softly and said: "As for me, I don't have any grand ambitions. Right now, I'm perfectly content running my own little restaurant freely. Although I don't earn much and don't have many customers, I live comfortably and freely every day. I can go out for a stroll whenever I feel like it, and in the evenings, I just spend time with my customers. That's enough for me. I'm more suited to this kind of ordinary, simple life. Totsuki is too high-end for me. I don't belong there."

The kind of life Yuto described didn't sound like something someone his age should say.

At this age, people should be full of endless hopes and expectations for the future.

But Yuto seemed somewhat lacking in ambition.

"But wouldn't that be a waste of your talent?" Arato Hisako was both puzzled and a little frustrated.

"I don't think so. At the very least, none of the customers who have tried my cooking so far have said it was bad." Yuto said with a light laugh.

"But at Totsuki, you could showcase your cooking to more people, and more would praise your dishes."

"Forget it. I'm just a small fry. I don't think about things like that." Yuto waved his hand dismissively. He picked up his coffee.

Gently blowing on it, he took a small sip.

'Hmm~~ Tastes no different from the instant coffee at my restaurant.'

'A cup of instant coffee at my restaurant costs only 120 yen. But here, it's 450 yen. I really am a humble Boss!'

Yuto praised himself inwardly.
