The cabin fell into complete silence.
The fire crackled softly, but no one moved.
Luca stared at the man standing in the doorway.
Sergei Volkov.
"Your father sent me."
The words echoed in Luca's mind.
"My father…" Luca said slowly. "The Underground King."
Sergei nodded calmly.
"Yes."
Adrian's grip on his gun tightened.
"Funny," he said coldly. "Because the Underground King hasn't contacted anyone from the outside in years."
Sergei didn't even glance at him.
"That's because none of them were his son."
Luca felt his heart beating faster.
"You're saying… he knows I'm alive?"
Sergei finally stepped closer into the cabin.
His tall figure blocked the cold wind as he closed the door behind him.
"He has always known."
Luca froze.
"What?"
Sergei looked directly at him.
"The moment you were born… he knew you would become the most dangerous person in this world."
Luca frowned.
"That doesn't explain why he abandoned me."
Sergei's expression remained calm.
"He didn't abandon you."
Luca's voice rose slightly.
"Then where was he when my stepmother tortured my omega father? When my father threw us out?"
The room grew heavy.
Sergei didn't answer immediately.
Then he said quietly,
"He was watching."
Luca's anger exploded.
"Watching?!"
His fists clenched.
"You're telling me he just watched while my life was destroyed?"
Sergei didn't react to the anger.
"Your father had enemies everywhere," he said. "If he took you with him, the Syndicate would have killed you within days."
Adrian scoffed.
"Nice excuse."
Sergei finally turned toward him.
"You think I'm lying?"
Adrian didn't respond.
Sergei's eyes narrowed slightly.
"You're Adrian Volkov… eldest son of the Volkov mafia family."
Luca looked at Adrian in surprise.
Sergei continued calmly.
"Your father leads the most powerful mafia family in Russia."
Adrian said nothing.
Sergei crossed his arms.
"So tell me," he said quietly, "how many people would die if your enemies discovered your weakness?"
Adrian's silence answered the question.
Sergei turned back to Luca.
"That's why your father stayed away."
Luca looked down.
His emotions were tangled between anger and confusion.
"So he hid me to protect me," Luca said bitterly.
"Yes."
"And now?"
Sergei's voice became serious.
"Now the Neon Syndicate knows you carry the master key."
Luca felt the weight of those words.
"They will never stop hunting you."
Sergei stepped closer.
"Which means there's only one safe place left."
Luca looked at him.
"Where?"
Sergei answered without hesitation.
"The Underground."
Adrian immediately shook his head.
"No."
Luca frowned.
"Why?"
Adrian looked directly at Sergei.
"Because the moment he steps into the Underground…"
"…he becomes part of their war."
Sergei smiled faintly.
"He already is."
Outside, the storm had finally begun to calm.
But a new storm was rising in Luca's life.
Sergei extended his hand toward him.
"Come with me," he said.
"Your father has waited fifteen years to see you."
Luca stared at the hand in front of him.
The decision he made now would change everything.
Behind him…
Adrian's voice was quiet but serious.
"Think carefully, Luca."
"Because once you meet the Underground King…"
"…you might not like what you discover."
Luca slowly looked between the two men.
His past.
His future.
And the truth about his father.
Finally, he spoke.
"Take me to him."
Sergei smiled.
And far away, in the deepest shadows of the world…
The Underground King was waiting.
