"Yuri what are you doing?" James, Mark, and the "Yuri what are you doing?" James, Mark, and the others said as they pulled Yuri off Nathan.
The moment they did, bullets riddled through the door and windows. They all got down and took cover.
"Who is shooting at us?" Mark asked.
"Probably, Amadeus' guys," Yuri said looking at Nathan.
"They knew we were coming. This is an ambush," James mentioned.
"Demons using guns?" Nathan asked.
"There is no rule against that," Nathanial said.
After a while, the shooting stopped. The main door swung opened and two people walked in. Yuri and James were hiding behind a couch in the living room.
"On three," Yuri mouthed then counted three by hand. On three the two got out with their pistols drawn. They shot the two people who entered and they immediately went down.
They then took cover behind a wall that separated the corridor from the living room. Mark and Nathan were against the wall in the corridor.
They saw the two people and noticed blood pooling around them.
"They are human," Nathan yelled. When no one else entered they all got out of hiding.
"Come out with your hands up. I have… Martha," Amadeus yelled from outside.
Mark and Nathan dropped their guns.
"What are you doing?" Yuri asked as they walked out.
They ignored him and walked out. Later the other three also walked out.
"I am guessing, you guys are Corvus reply to my attack," Amadeus said with a smile.
He had his arm around Martha's neck with a gun against her head.
'That's the chef in the house next to ours. It seems everyone in the neighborhood is here,' Nathan thought as he looked around at the familiar faces pointing guns at them.
'Of course, he has control of the Eye,' Mark thought.
"Corvus, I haven't heard of him," Nathanial said.
"Wait, either you don't know he sent you or you are lying to me," Amadeus said.
He let go of Martha and walked over to Nathanial. As he looked into his eyes, Yuri drew a pistol he was hiding behind him.
Amadeus disappeared in the blink of an eye and appeared behind Yuri. He grabbed him by the collar and threw him back.
This all happened so fast all they heard was Yuri scream and him crashing into the building. They turned to Yuri on the floor behind them.
He was not moving and his body was disfigured.
"Corvus did not send us. We want him dead," Mark explained.
"How bad do you want him dead," Amadeus asked but they did not reply.
"So bad you are willing to team up?" he added.
