Chapter 121 - Showing Their Prowess (Wait)

"Senior Cecilia, is it really okay for us to do this?"

On a commercial street, Cheng Lixue held a stack of flyers, looking quite unsure of herself as she watched the white-haired beauty walking ahead of her.

"Don't worry, I have experience in this. After all, it's something Siegfried and I experienced personally. It'll definitely work."

Cecilia turned back to offer her a confident smile. "If we don't intervene, those two will probably sit on that bench all day."

Since leaving St. Freya Academy, Lierre had taken Theresa to a nearby park, where they had both pulled out their phones and started playing games.

It had been over an hour now, and by the looks of it, they had no other plans.

Cecilia could not let their first date end in such a boring manner. She was going to act as a wingman and provide support.

After all, Lierre and Theresa were both her dear friends. As a friend, she had to give them a hand!

"I'll follow all your arrangements, Senior Cecilia."

Upon hearing this, Cheng Lixue's heart felt at ease.

With a married woman planning the strategy, it was absolutely a sure thing!

She no longer needed to worry about accidentally destroying this relationship.

Meanwhile, another group.

"So boring..."

Kiana hid in a corner, peeking at the two in front who were completely immersed in their games. She bit her index finger in boredom.

"Maybe we shouldn't have followed them." A trace of disappointment flashed in Raiden Mei's eyes.

They had been keeping watch here for over an hour. During that time, they hadn't seen the sweet romance they were hoping for; they only saw two like-minded gaming addicts playing on their phones.

She somewhat regretted following them.

Instead of wasting time here, she could have been studying her culinary skills. She had discovered she was actually quite gifted in the kitchen.

"It's not enough to just sit here and watch."

At that moment, Murata Himeko's voice came from behind them.

Raiden Mei and Kiana turned around and found that Murata Himeko, who had left just a moment ago, was standing behind them at some unknown point.

"Eh? What's that in your hand?" Kiana looked curiously at the card Himeko was holding.

Murata Himeko gave a confident smile and proudly brandished the hotel room key card in her hand. "I just booked a suite for Lierre and Theresa at the most popular couples' theme hotel nearby!"

As soon as she said this, Kiana and Raiden Mei stared at her in shock.

The date had only just begun—how did it already reach the stage of booking a room? The jump was far too large.

"What's with those expressions?"

Murata Himeko explained with dissatisfaction, "I don't know Lierre's age, but don't I know Theresa's? If she doesn't decisively seize her happiness now, she might really be single for the rest of her life!"

These little ones clearly didn't understand her well-meaning intentions.

True, these two still had plenty of youth to pursue their own happiness; naturally, they weren't in a hurry.

They definitely couldn't see it from the perspective of her or Theresa.

Besides, Lierre and Theresa had already progressed to the point of meeting the parents soon. If things went smoothly, Schicksal would be making a formal announcement.

Since they were going to reach this step sooner or later anyway, they might as well get used to it early.

Furthermore, she was only providing a room, not planning to drugged anyone. Whether things progressed to the final step depended on the wishes of the individuals involved.

"True... they really can't delay any longer..."

Kiana looked at the backs of Lierre and Theresa, her cheeks flushing slightly as her imagination began to run wild.

Raiden Mei looked at the key card in Himeko's hand, a blush rapidly creeping over her fair face.

The scene she had just imagined was far too stimulating for her.

Just as Murata Himeko was preparing to find an opportunity to give the key card to Lierre and Theresa, Lierre suddenly put down her phone with a lack of interest.

"Hey! Don't suddenly go AFK, I can't win without you."

Seeing Lierre's character stop moving, Theresa looked up and found Lierre staring at the sky. She asked, "What's wrong now?"

In all her years, this was the first time she had been pushed by others to go on a date.

And yet, for her very first date, she was just sitting in a park playing games with her partner. Suddenly, she felt like her life was a failure.

Theresa thought despondently.

"You know Cecilia and the others have been protecting us from the shadows. On the surface, we're on a date, but aside from playing games here, we haven't done anything. Do you think they'll take action soon?" Lierre asked, knowing the answer perfectly well.

It was hard for her not to know when people were talking about her.

"You mean..."

"Cecilia is coming to arrange the rest of our date itinerary."

"I-I see... A-after all, we have to keep up the act, it wouldn't be good to refuse..."

Theresa lowered her head in panic, her hands gripping her phone so tightly the screen nearly cracked.

While panicking, she felt a small sense of anticipation.

No matter what, this was the first date of her life. Since she didn't dislike Lierre, how could she not look forward to it?

Soon, the figures of Cecilia and Cheng Lixue appeared in their line of sight.

Theresa, who had just tucked her phone away, gripped her long skirt with nervous hands as they appeared.

Beneath the hem, her white-clad legs were pressed tightly together. Her eyes darted around erratically, not daring to meet Cecilia's gaze.

This is... it seems there's some progress after all.

Cecilia looked at the shy Theresa with some surprise, then said apologetically, "Sorry to disturb you, but I found some nice shops nearby. If you have nowhere else to go, you could check them out."

With that, she handed the filtered flyers to Lierre.

Lierre took them and gave them a casual glance, then asked Theresa, "Since we have no other plans, why don't we browse the shops on these flyers? What do you think?"

"Mhm..." Theresa responded in a small voice.

With her best friend nearby and Cheng Lixue watching, her sense of shame was nearly at its limit. She wanted nothing more than to flee the area quickly.

Immediately after, Lierre led Theresa toward the first destination—the snack street—under the watchful eyes of seven individuals.

Seven, because besides Cecilia, Cheng Lixue, and Kiana's group of three, there were two others watching from the shadows.

On the rooftop of a building near the park, Joyce and Bronya simultaneously lowered their binoculars.

Joyce looked down at Bronya beside him and let out a helpless sigh in his heart.

He didn't know what Welt Yang and Einstein were planning, but involving such a young girl seemed a bit unreliable.
