"Mobius?"
Otto frowned slightly. The name felt incredibly foreign to him; among known historical figures, the name Mobius had never appeared.
Was it just a common person summoned at random?
Amber stood quietly to the side, waiting for Otto's new instructions.
"Have neither you nor Rita seen this Mobius person around Lierre?" Otto looked up and asked.
Until he truly understood who Mobius was, he would not jump to conclusions or underestimate the other party.
History was full of people who had met their downfall in the gutters, mostly due to their own arrogance and underestimating others.
And regarding anyone summoned by Lierre, Otto dared not lower his guard easily.
Lierre's value made her worthy of his special attention.
"Lierre only revealed a name to us and mentioned nothing else. To this day, the person named Mobius has yet to actually show her face," Amber said, shaking her head.
"It seems we can only wait for Mobius to appear on her own. I don't believe Lierre would summon a mere ordinary person."
This wasn't Otto's sixth sense, but a conclusion drawn from experience.
Among those Lierre had summoned so far, not a single one was simple.
Cecilia, an S-Rank Valkyrie holding Abyss Flower, who also had some connection to K423.
Welt Joyce, the first Herrscher of Reason. Regarding his appearance, Otto believed there were people within Anti-Entropy who cared far more than he did.
Finally, there was Cheng Lixue, who seemed the most ordinary. Compared to the other two, she might be too "ordinary," but her identity was anything but.
Cheng Lixue was the apprentice of the Jingwei Immortal. Unlike the seven treacherous disciples who betrayed the Immortal, Cheng Lixue could be said to be the apprentice who loved and respected her Master the most, even willing to die for her.
Last time, Otto had specifically visited Fu Hua and found her taking a walk with Cheng Lixue. The two were chatting as if they had an endless supply of things to say.
Otto was even surprised to find that his stoic old friend had, for once, smiled.
From this, it was certain that the memories Fu Hua had burned away during the Second Honkai regarding Cheng Lixue had been restored.
As for the reason, it was undoubtedly related to Lierre's Panacea.
The Panacea, claimed to cure all illnesses, might have not only restored memories upon resurrection but perhaps even cured her hyperthymesia.
If nothing else, her old injuries had likely been healed as well.
"The Jingwei Immortal in her prime..."
Otto couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
He still remembered the invincible posture of the woman who had stopped Schicksal's entire Eastern Crusade army years ago and defeated the strongest Holy Maiden, Kallen, with a single move.
Therefore, Otto did not believe Mobius would be an average person.
Meanwhile, on the side of the Schariac Family.
Due to the fall of the Strongest Holy Maiden, Cecilia, the Schariac Family's voice in Schicksal had been weakened without limit, and the family's influence was waning by the day.
When they learned the news of Cecilia's resurrection, the older generation was so excited they nearly jumped. Some of the elderly members almost ascended to heaven on the spot.
If it weren't for Otto's warning, these people would have long since gone mad trying to invite Cecilia back to reclaim her position as Family Head.
This showed just how much grievance they had endured over the years.
And today, the power-holders of the Schariac Family received more good news.
"Letting Ana join a Valkyrie squad exclusive to the Acting Overseer?! What a turn of events. It seems Overseer Otto hasn't completely abandoned us!"
The current Family Head was a highly respected elder in the family. Looking at the notification sent by Amber, his wrinkled face was filled with surprise.
The smiles on the faces of the nearby power-holders could not be suppressed.
In Schicksal, every current S-Rank Valkyrie was far too dazzling. Although Ana's talent was worthy of the word "genius," a genius who hasn't grown up is of little use.
As long as Ana didn't become an S-Rank Valkyrie, she could at most manage to be a vice-captain of a Valkyrie squad; if she was lucky, she'd just be a captain.
Even if Ana fortunately became an S-Rank Valkyrie, being suppressed by a monster like Durandal meant she was destined to never recreate the glory of the Schariac Family from Cecilia's era.
But the notification from Amber reignited the Patriarch's hope for the family's revival.
Once Lierre became the Overseer in the future, Ana might become one of her confidants. When that time came, Lierre might support the Schariac Family for Ana's sake.
"This is of great importance. Send someone... never mind, I'll go personally. I'll ask Ana myself if she needs anything else."
Leaning on his cane, the Patriarch walked toward Ana's residence with brisk steps, the others following closely behind him.
The next morning.
After breaking free from the overly enthusiastic elders of her family, Ana left the battleship. She walked with a firm pace across Schicksal's First Airpot toward the location designated by Amber.
Ana had beautiful, long chestnut hair and pink eyes. Her white armor accentuated her well-developed chest, and her slender, fair legs were like works of art, without a hint of excess fat.
"I'll be meeting Lady Lierre soon. I should check my appearance one last time. If my hair is messy or a button is undone, it would be so embarrassing."
Ana walked to a corner where few people passed, pulled out a compact mirror she carried with her, and carefully examined herself in the reflection.
The heavyweights in her family placed great importance on this transfer. If she left a bad impression on Lierre during their first meeting, she wouldn't know how to face them in the future.
After confirming there was nothing unseemly about her, Ana put away the mirror and took a deep breath.
Once her nerves had settled, she set off again toward the Apocalypse Research Institute.
Soon, Ana met the legendary figure who was the talk of the Schicksal Valkyrie social circles.
Regarding Lierre, she had heard many titles from others.
For example, Theresa's lifelong love, the strongest "live-in husband" in history, the representative of Schicksal's hardcore public displays of affection, the Person of Wonders...
Seeing is believing. Ana didn't expect the real-life Lierre to be even more petite and cute than in her photos.
"Schicksal A-Rank Valkyrie, Ana Schariac, reporting for duty!"
"Very good, quite spirited. I hereby announce that from today on, you are the captain of the Moth Who Chases the Flames squad!"
Lierre looked up at the beautiful chestnut-haired girl standing straight and saluting her with a serious face, and announced.
Since she was preparing to form the 'Anti-Kevin Valkyrie Combat Squad: Moth Who Chases the Flames!', the primary candidates would naturally be chosen from The Thirteen Flame-Chasers.
As for the Valkyrie squad's name, it had to be Moth Who Chases the Flames.
Who the captain was didn't matter. She didn't expect a young girl like Ana to be able to suppress those Flame-Chasers with their distinct personalities; being a mascot wasn't bad either.
After all, besides Lierre, who else could easily command those Flame-Chasers?
Having the weakest person as the captain while the other members were each more outrageously powerful than the last—Lierre's main selling point was the contrast!
