The more Daniel Hale walked, the more he felt something was wrong.
This uneasy feeling had started last night.
It was as if some ethereal shadows had appeared in his mind.
Especially after waking up this morning, he almost thought he was hallucinating.
He could sense the two tiny figures in Vera Coleman's belly beside him.
He could sense people pacing back and forth in the hallway outside the door.
And even the bustling crowd upstairs...
And now, it felt as though he could see figures constantly coming and going outside the shelter.
"Am I really just too tired?"
Daniel Hale muttered to himself.
But the next second, he sensed something was truly wrong.
He walked quickly in one direction, toward the shelter's exit.
"Uncle Hale? Why are you out here?"
Chelsea Walsh was helping her brother, Forrest Walsh, walk back and forth to aid his recovery.
Forrest Walsh wanted to see the team members preparing to go out, so she had helped him come outside.
