Mordecai Quinn replied coolly.
"Sorry I'm late. What a god-awful base. The inspection process isn't user-friendly at all, seriously..."
Just then, a complaining voice came from the inspection entrance they had just passed through.
Elara Calder walked up to Felix Finch. It was already dark, so she didn't notice Nina Jacobs and Mordecai Quinn standing to the side.
"Miss Calder, inspections are like this at every base. You must not have been out in a while. This is Commander Mordecai Quinn."
Felix Finch said hurriedly.
Elara Calder's expression stiffened slightly. In the darkness, she couldn't see Mordecai Quinn's face clearly, but she knew Felix Finch's expression beside her was as dark as a thundercloud.
"My apologies. I'm just not used to taking my clothes off in front of others."
Elara Calder also noticed Nina Jacobs standing next to Mordecai Quinn.
