(MASON'S POV)
Monday morning arrived with the cruel efficiency of an alarm clock that refused to be ignored. I groaned into my pillow, my body still heavy with exhaustion from the chaotic events of the past few weeks. Henry was still in his coma. Liam was still suffering. The nightmares still haunted us all.
But Blue, in his infinite wisdom, had decided that life would go on.
"We cannot stop living because we are afraid of dying," he had told me one night, four weeks ago, his fingers carding gently through my hair. "The children need normalcy. Beau needs routine. You need to focus on your studies. I will not let this household drown in despair."
And so, Monday morning meant school.
I dragged myself out of bed, the sheets pooling around my waist, and blinked blearily at the clock. Seven-fifteen. We had forty-five minutes to get everyone fed, dressed, and out the door. A nearly impossible feat in a house as chaotic as ours.
