Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 Black Widow is Coming

Future Industries was troubled by the lack of volunteers, making human trials impossible.

After all, human trials couldn't be done haphazardly; no one knew what the outcome would be.

But fortunately, S.H.I.E.L.D. had many disabled individuals…

After waiting a few days, the people finally arrived.

Levi stopped, planning to do another ten-pull later.

"Have Colson come over."

He was too lazy to go over himself, so he just had Colson come for the discussion.

Levi had no particular like or dislike for S.H.I.E.L.D.; after all, it had nothing to do with him. As long as he could make money and they provided convenience, he didn't care about anything else.

Just like now, S.H.I.E.L.D. could easily bring people to undergo human trials.

Levi could also make money, killing two birds with one stone.

"Ding."

After a short while, the elevator arrived on this floor.

Colson walked in with a woman.

The woman had curly red hair, wore a tight-fitting uniform, had captivating eyes, and a perfect figure.

Levi bypassed Colson and asked, "Who is this? Is she the assistant you arranged for me?"

He, of course, knew who she was; she was too conspicuous.

"Natasha Romanoff."

Colson said with a smile, "She's here to be the contact person for Mr. Li; I might be busy from now on."

That was good. Although Colson was very honest,

Levi still preferred women.

"Levi."

"Natasha."

Levi extended his hand, and Black Widow naturally couldn't refuse. She walked over and shook his hand.

Then, the two exchanged glances and both smiled.

Colson seemed not to notice, thinking to himself, 'No wonder Agent Hill was somewhat reluctant to send Natasha over.'

Black Widow had only joined S.H.I.E.L.D. a short while ago, after the Battle of Budapest.

The agency didn't trust her much, so they simply sent her to deal with Levi.

"If you don't let go, I'm going to flip you over," Natasha Romanoff said with a smile.

"I happen to be about to compete with Tony Stark; would you like to try?"

After Levi finished speaking, Natasha immediately threw herself into his arms without a word.

Just as Levi was feeling a bit confused, she leaped up and directly sat on Levi's shoulders, clamping his head with her legs.

This made Levi think she was demonstrating her weapon…

Because it was right in front of him.

"Cough, cough."

Levi patted her thigh, telling her to get down.

Natasha didn't throw him down but instead slid down directly, looking at him with a smile.

"Your level is more than enough to beat that playboy."

"Your legs are also very impressive."

Levi also praised her, engaging in mutual flattery.

After all, she was Black Widow, the Red Room's most outstanding Agent.

"How many people did you bring?"

"Ten."

Colson said, "This is just the first batch; if needed, we can find more."

"Then let's go to the laboratory."

Levi wiped his sweat and led Eve and 2B over.

Black Widow Natasha sized up the two women. 2B gave her a Strange feeling, and Eve was even more so; her physique was abnormal.

Could any woman really have such a figure?

Black Widow Natasha compared Eve's figure to her own and found herself looking inferior.

Eve's figure was truly 'curvy in all the right places'; although it didn't conform to human anatomy, the visual effect was explosive.

Dr. Otto's laboratory.

Ten S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents with various disabilities had already arrived here.

They were all severely disabled, mostly missing limbs.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have actively signed up for the experiment.

For them, having a chance to return to normal was better than living a life worse than death.

Every time Levi saw this scene, he felt like his merits were boundless.

Which scientist thought for the people like him?

"Dr. Otto, how are the preparations coming along?"

Levi walked over.

Dr. Otto now basically kept his four mechanical arms with him at all times.

He wore a 'non-invasive' Brain-computer Interface on his head, like a simple hood, and his four mechanical arms were very obedient.

Dr. Otto supported himself with two mechanical arms on the ground, lowering his body.

"I've simulated the experiments with Red Queen many times; I guarantee there will be no problems."

Dr. Otto could barely contain his excitement.

He hoped the experiment would succeed so he could install an invasive Brain-computer Interface on himself.

This was even more terrifying than a semi-invasive one.

An invasive Brain-computer Interface required craniotomy surgery to implant electrodes directly into the cerebral cortex or ventricles.

Such a Brain-computer Interface would have faster reactions and greater capacity, and could also embed 'chips'.

Of course…

The downside was that if it overloaded, the brain would burn out.

This was why hackers in the Cyberpunk World were so easily burned out.

"Then shall we start the experiment?"

Levi looked at everyone; no one had any objections.

Subsequently, the first experiment subject, an Agent with a severed arm, lay directly on the hospital bed and was then pushed into the medical room by medical staff, where Doctors waiting to perform the surgery were present.

For the surgery, Future Industries signed a contract with a large hospital.

Unfortunately, Levi hadn't found anyone named Strange.

He inquired and found out the other party was a neurosurgeon, so their specialties didn't match.

"This time, we are performing a semi-invasive surgery. We only need to implant the electrodes under the skull, adhering to the dura mater, without penetrating the cerebral cortex. It should be very easy."

Dr. Otto introduced to everyone.

Colson hadn't expected it to be so 'dangerous'. He looked at Dr. Otto and asked, "Can't what you're wearing on your head be used for them?"

"No."

Dr. Otto immediately shook his head, "This non-invasive type is susceptible to many factors, and even hair can affect the speed of neural transmission. Once this 'lag' appears, it will have a significant impact."

"If it happens at a critical moment, imagine how dangerous that would be."

This made Colson and Black Widow Natasha nod.

Natasha Romanoff stood with her arms crossed, observing the laboratory.

"What are you looking at?"

Levi was somewhat curious.

This was Black Widow, after all.

Moreover, she was taller than the actress Scarlett Johansson in his previous life, with longer legs, standing around 1.7 meters tall.

She simply made up for Scarlett's only flaw.

"Nothing, just thinking of some unpleasant things."

Natasha shook her head.

In the laboratory, she couldn't help but think of the experiments the Red Room conducted on them.

This had made her infertile, unable to become a mother again.

She thought of something and asked curiously, "The serum you advertise, can it regrow any organ?"

Levi knew what she was thinking as soon as he heard it, but he wasn't sure.

"These all require experiments; theoretically, it's feasible."

If even limbs could regrow, growing an organ shouldn't be a big problem, right?

Hearing this, Black Widow showed no change in expression, unsure if she truly cared.

"Ding!"

At this moment, as the laboratory lights flickered, Dr. Otto became excited.

"The surgery is over."

Soon, the Doctor came out from inside and nodded to everyone.

"The surgery was successful; he'll wake up in a little while."
