Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: America has no human touch?

Levi gained a lot from his trip to the Middle East.

He also became very busy.

After all, the company lacked capable executives, and Gwen Stacy was still a college student…

So, Levi needed to recruit people.

He arrived at the office and saw Gwen already sitting in his seat.

"Aren't you jogging?"

Levi looked at Gwen, a half-smile on his face.

Gwen's face immediately flushed: "The gym isn't far from here."

"Oh? Then why weren't you at your post during work hours?"

Levi tapped her head: "Next time you do this, I'll punish you."

"Ow!"

Gwen rubbed her head.

Sitting in the office chair, Levi pushed off with his feet, and the chair spun around.

"Red Queen, recommend some CEO candidates for me."

For normal recruitment, especially for such a position, it's best to find an experienced headhunting firm.

Headhunting firms are commonly known as high-level management recruitment agencies; they have various channels, and as long as you can afford it, they can find talent from all walks of life.

But Levi had Red Queen, so he could directly use big data to screen.

Red Queen appeared beside him and asked: "Boss, do you have any requirements?"

"Yes, no squids, no Three Bros."

Levi immediately said.

Squids act like Celestial Dragons; getting involved with them only causes trouble.

The Three Bros are even scarier; they're better at making PPTs than Levi, but they can't do anything else besides making PPTs…

And the Three Bros like to stick together, like cockroaches, reproducing at an alarming rate.

In America, as soon as a company has one Three Bro, a whole group of Three Bros will soon follow…

So, tech companies in Silicon Valley are getting better and better at making PPTs, but there's no real substance anymore.

Red Queen immediately began screening, and many candidates instantly appeared.

Levi glanced at them and directly crossed out the males.

After all, a mix of genders makes work less tiring.

Then, he crossed out the older ones.

"Hmm?"

At this moment, Levi saw a familiar candidate.

[Name: Hope van Dyne.]

[Gender: Female.]

[Age: 27 years old.]

[Resume: Formerly a supervisor at Pym Industries, with rich experience.]

Isn't this the daughter of the first Ant-Man, Hank Pym?

If it were Hank Pym, Levi wouldn't be very interested.

But the young Hope, she was acceptable.

Moreover, she wasn't that young anymore, nearing thirty, and already had experience, no need for development…

Cough cough!

No need for training!

Most importantly, Levi might even be able to get Pym Particles.

Pym Particles are still somewhat useful; they can change the size of objects, enter the Quantum Realm, cross dimensions, and so on.

So, Levi called Hope.

Currently, Hope and her father, Hank Pym, were facing a backlash.

Hank Pym's disciple, Darren Cross, took over Pym Industries and in turn marginalized Hank Pym and Hope.

This was due to Hank Pym's poor judgment of character, as he failed to discover Darren Cross's ambition.

Hope was currently unemployed.

However, thankfully their family still had money, so they only wanted to reclaim their company and had no intention of working for someone else.

Therefore, when Hope received Levi's call, she was a bit confused.

"Hello, Hope, may I call you that? My company needs a CEO, and I think you're very good."

Levi got straight to the point.

People here are just straightforward.

They don't understand subtlety at all.

"I'm sorry, I don't have that intention."

Hope directly refused.

"Is that so? Then I'll have to find someone else."

Levi was also very decisive; if she refused, he would find someone else.

This made Hope feel a bit disappointed, so she asked before hanging up: "Wait, may I know which company it is?"

"Future Technology!"

Levi replied.

Hearing that name, Hope immediately recalled the company that had risen to prominence.

Although Future Technology hadn't been around for long, it was already more famous than her family's enterprise.

Pym Industries, in many aspects, couldn't compare to this emerging company.

In fact, in the eyes of many onlookers, Future Industries was a company that could rival Stark Industries…

Because Levi, the boss of Future Industries, always had verbal sparring matches with Tony Stark, the boss of Stark Industries; if their status wasn't equal, how could this happen?

So, Future Industries = Stark Industries.

It's like how LeBron James always tries to compare himself to Michael Jordan, leading some people to actually believe he's the second greatest in history.

If you can't beat the first, you're second!

Future Industries was the same; it couldn't surpass Stark Industries, but in the public's mind, it was stronger than other companies!

This was the benefit of traffic.

Hope felt the same way at this time; although she didn't know much about Future Industries, its reputation was huge!

Therefore, she was also very curious, so she decided: "Can I visit the company first?"

"You are always welcome."

"Then I'll come over tomorrow morning."

Hope decided to dress up tomorrow; it was too late today.

After settling this matter, Levi selected a few more candidates.

If Hope didn't agree, or didn't satisfy him, he would find someone else.

Red Queen understood his preferences.

They were all White, not over thirty-five years old, and of course, all female.

No other reason, Levi just wanted an assistant like Pepper Potts.

Then, Levi looked at the busy Gwen, who was making calls and contacting people everywhere.

The U.S. military's order had already arrived, and the next step was to ramp up production.

The most requested item was drones.

So Gwen was on the phone across the ocean, communicating in heavily accented Mandarin…

Seeing Levi's gaze, her face immediately turned red.

Levi didn't dampen her spirits and then left.

He also felt emotional now, no wonder everyone liked factories in East Asia.

The prices were truly cheap enough.

Cheap parts, shipped to America for assembly, and then sold to the U.S. military for over a hundred thousand dollars…

And this was completely legal.

Of course, the only thing he had to pay was a small commission to Rhodes.

This was an old rule; Tony Stark, his old classmate, would also give Rhodes a commission.

No wonder some people say that America has no human relations.

Indeed.

Here, there are only more direct interest transactions.

Levi went to see Professor Connors.

Professor Connors was still perfecting the potion, and it was already very good.

Another experiment was done before, and this time it wasn't a lizard leg that grew, but the effect was weakened.

He still had to make trade-offs regarding the ingredients.

"Li, don't go to the front lines next time. I lost this arm on the battlefield."

Professor Connors said to Levi.

Levi smiled and nodded; he wouldn't put himself at risk.

And although he seemed to have nothing, he was actually armed to the teeth.

Nanofiber protective shield, truly armed to the teeth.

Then he went to Dr. Otto's laboratory for a visit; Dr. Otto had also produced the previous prosthetic limb blueprints, giving people more choices.

Next, they were preparing to promote the Brain-computer Interface.
