"Your grandma and I already ate," Uncle added, clearly sensing my hesitation. "Alicia, you should eat."
"I already had breakfast…"
"Then have a little more," Alexander said.
I gave him a flat look—but still opened the containers and took a few bites.
"Nana wants to go home," I explained.
Nana immediately cut in, clearly worried Alexander might side with Uncle. "Alexander, don't worry about it. I know my own body. It's not as serious as you think. Staying here is uncomfortable—they keep restricting everything."
Alexander paused, his gaze lowering slightly as he considered her words.
Then he said, "Nana, your health isn't something to take lightly. How about this—I'll check with Dr. Harrison. If he agrees, we'll arrange for you to go home."
Nana hesitated.
She clearly wasn't confident the doctor would agree—but if he didn't, she wouldn't be able to argue anymore.
After a moment, she waved her hand dismissively. "Fine. Go ahead."
