"Mummy, what happened?"
Aimy's innocent voice sounded beside me.
I looked up at her and forced a smile.
"Nothing, baby. Don't worry."
With both front tires down, changing one wasn't even an option anymore.
I pulled out my phone and dialed Aunt Margaret's number.
"Hello, Alicia?"
Her gentle voice came through immediately.
"Aunt, I've got two flat tires at the park. Could you ask the driver to come pick us up?"
"How did that happen?"
Her voice instantly became concerned.
"The driver was sent on an errand just now, but wait—I'll come get you myself."
"No, Aunt, it's alright."
Everyone in the mansion knew how to drive, so we only kept one driver who usually handled errands around town.
The last thing I wanted was to trouble her.
"Just ask him to pick us up on his way back."
"No, Alicia, you can't just stay there waiting"
"We're still at the park," I interrupted gently.
"We'll be fine. It might even take longer if you leave the mansion yourself."
