Chapter 17 - EXPLORATION

"That was stressful," Silas sighed as he stood up from his chair.

After replying to the people who bought the shares and returning the spatial ring, he was extremely tired.

Even the contract had to be changed after he read a few books. The shares had been made so he could buy them back at 5 million credits per share.

"Rion, how many people agreed to buy the shares, and how many agreed to the bulk purchases?"

"For the shares, 53 people; for the bulk purchases, 137," Rion replied almost instantly.

"That's good enough," Silas groaned.

"Have I received any payment yet?" he asked curiously.

"Not yet, Master Silas."

Silas could only sigh as he exited the virtual server.

It was already midnight in the real world.

"What is the time, Rion?" he asked.

"4 a.m.," Rion answered.

Silas lay on the bed, thinking of the future. "This was not a bad start," he mused.

Although he was unable to draw the gaze of truly powerful organizations, even these low-level ones were enough to satisfy his current needs.

Unknowingly, his eyes closed as he fell asleep.

Time moved fast, with Silas continuing his training during the day and dealing with business in the evening.

A month passed in the blink of an eye.

"Rion, how many credits do I have left?" he asked, walking into a different store in the main complex of the Orion Sector.

It was the new branch of the Sovereign Garden.

"After paying tax, you have 27,899,000 credits remaining."

Silas smiled. "After buying the automatic workstation for both machines and potions, I still have so much," he muttered.

As he walked into the shop, he was quickly approached by one of the clerks there.

After a month, the prestige and wealth of the Sovereign Garden had grown significantly. Although still not comparable to a high-tier company, it was already huge enough to hold its ground.

And with the wealth, Silas had employed lots of staff to do everything.

Now, he was nothing but a hands-off boss.

Even the creation of the rifle and the new things he had deduced, including potions, vehicles, cultivation manuals, and even raw resources, were handled by them.

Now, there were five branches in the Orion Sector.

"Good morning, sir. What do you want?" the lady asked with a bow and a smile.

Silas just sighed.

Even after getting all of these, he did not show his face to anyone.

"I am sorry, I only wanted to window shop," Silas said shyly, scratching his head.

The lady just smiled and walked towards her post.

As per the rules, anyone could look around the shop.

As for fear of theft, they need not worry about that. There were cameras everywhere that could detect even Marshal-rank cultivators who were using invisibility techniques.

Silas checked through the store calmly, noting everything.

The rifle, priced at ten thousand credits; their specialty cameras that cost a hundred thousand credits; potions that could heal Marshal-rank and below cultivators instantly, refilling both aether and healing injuries. Each cost a million credits.

Silas looked at everything before he finally left the store.

"Rion, who is the manager of this place?" he asked.

"This is our biggest branch. The manager is a Marshal-rank cultivator named Louis. She is extremely talented in business too."

"She is doing a good job," Silas praised, on his way to the other branches.

He spent the next two hours on a tour of all the branches.

Finally, Silas was ready to go to the Sovereign Garden's factory.

This was Silas's biggest asset, costing over a hundred million credits to fully set up. It was only after his current monthly payment that he was able to fully equip it.

"What do you want? This is the Sovereign Garden's private property," a guard stopped him at the entrance.

He exuded a crushing pressure that dwarfed even the strongest Marshal-rank cultivator Silas had ever seen.

'Rion, good job on securing this Monarch-stage cultivator,' he praised.

"I have an appointment with the director," Silas replied, showing the man a card.

"Okay." The man returned the card after a brief inspection.

Silas just smiled.

He walked deeper into the factory, noting the structure.

The factory was divided into several sections, each one dedicated to a product.

No one paid attention to Silas. They knew for sure that for him to be here, he would have passed the guard's verification.

After about two hours, he went to the back of the factory, where a dedicated restaurant was set up.

The virtual server was almost like the real world. Consuming something there had real effects on the main body.

"Good afternoon," he greeted the chef there.

The chef nodded with a smile.

"We have noodles today. If you don't like them, you can eat bread and milk."

The chef, seeing that Silas was new, explained to him that bread and milk were available to all workers in case they did not like the meal for the day.

But Silas just nodded and got a bowl of noodles.

He joined some other workers at the table.

They were talking about work.

"So, is this place enjoyable?" Silas asked, his tone quiet.

The others looked at him for a moment before they smiled.

"You are new here," one of them said, tapping his shoulder.

"Don't worry, you are in good hands here," another said with his mouth filled with noodles.

"I don't know how it is done at other factories, but this place is too good to be true."

At their words, Silas smiled, feeling content with the situation of all his establishments.

Soon, it was evening, and everyone closed at the factory.

Unlike the stores that were open all around the clock, the factories had to rest.

At the same time, as everyone finished packing the products into containers, a man walked in, acknowledging the guard first.

"Good evening, Lord Lucien," he greeted.

The guard, Lucien, waved. "I have told you, Azeron, you don't need to be this polite at all times."

They bickered for a few minutes before Azeron walked into the factory.

"I am here to get all the products for today," he said.

He was the one in charge of delivering products to all branches of the Sovereign Garden.

With a wave of his hand, the containers that numbered in the hundreds of thousands disappeared into his ring.

After some greetings, he left.

Everyone rushed through the gate as they ended their workday.

"The director was not here today," Silas wondered as he also walked out.
