Silas maneuvered the car skillfully to park in one of the spaces.
The place was filled with cars of various sorts, from extremely luxurious cars that floated slightly above the floor to those that used wheels.
But one thing was clear: none of the cars were as old as Max's car.
After all, such cars were only used by ancient masters, who collected them to add to their collections.
And Veritas was a very young planet that was barely a hundred million years old.
Practically no one on the planet had a car like that. It would be a miracle if they even knew what it was.
Even Max only got it as a gift from Sebastian years before.
They got down from the car, taking in the sight of the place.
This was Spring Beach, the second landmark of the planet after the secret realm.
The place was breathtaking.
Vibrant flowers were planted all around, golden sand that seemed to glow under the sunlight, and trees that shot into the sky.
And this was only the entrance, not even the inner part of the beach.
Silas picked the basket from the trunk before all of them began to walk towards the gate.
Max wore an unbuttoned multicolored shirt with grey shorts.
Sebastian wore normal clothes, his cigarette in his mouth with his other hand in his pocket.
Alfred, on the other hand, wore loose black pants with a green shirt.
They met the queue lining up to confirm their reservations.
As they stood in line, they chatted until Max suddenly dropped the banger.
"Yeah, lest I forget, Aldren will be coming today," Max said as if suddenly recalling something.
Silas and Amelia were surprised, hearing their principal was coming today.
It had been over a month since they last saw him. Thinking about it now, he had said back then that he would see them before they left.
"To think that he was able to create some time to visit us," Amelia said softly.
Soon, they were at the front of the queue.
"What is your name?" the guard, a bulky, dark man with well-defined muscles wearing a black suit, asked.
"Silas Lancaster," Max replied.
"Is Silas Lancaster in the reservation?" the guard asked his AI mentally.
After a few seconds, he nodded.
"It says 6 people here, why are you only 5?" the guard asked.
"The last person will be here soon, the password is the Governor is the greatest," Max said into the guard's ear.
Although he whispered it, all of them heard clearly. After all, their physical capabilities were far greater than a normal human's by at least a hundred times.
But Max did not care. He walked through as the guard parted way for him.
The inner part of the beach was covered from the outside by a protective array that cost millions of credits to buy outside the planet.
It made everything inside obscure to those outside.
But as the group walked through the gate, they finally saw it.
Max and Alfred had been to this place countless times, including the opening, so it was nothing new to them.
The same could be said for Sebastian, who had seen places so much more beautiful that comparison was useless.
But Silas and Amelia, especially Amelia, were stunned.
Words failed them as they couldn't think of the right ones to describe the place.
It felt like a realm of its own.
It was as if the environment had been carefully adjusted by a cultivator, from the soothing sunlight that shone upon them to the finely ground golden sand and the calm, relaxing sound of the ocean.
Everything was in perfect harmony.
People walked around, most of them half-clothed to avoid soaking their clothes.
"Wow," Amelia exclaimed before she snapped out of her daze.
Everyone had already left her, nearing a hut preserved for their group.
The hut was small on the outside, but when they entered, the size became more evident.
It was 3 times bigger than the outside.
"Spatial enhancement," Silas said, sucking in a sharp breath.
Space was one of the most difficult enhancement attributes. Silas knew from experience, although it was also influenced by his low cultivation level.
"Yeah. Spring Beach has strong backing from a nearby planet," Max said calmly, like it was nothing.
"Ohh, that says a lot about their wealth," Amelia nodded.
Sebastian sat at the side, not interfering with their banter.
It was the same for Alfred.
Before long, they all changed their clothes, with Amelia entering another section of the hut.
She wore a pink swimsuit while the rest wore boxers. Well, except Sebastian and Silas.
"Aren't you coming?" Amelia asked Silas.
She knew Sebastian was not going to follow them.
"I will wait for a while, probably when Principal Aldren comes," Silas replied.
No one bothered forcing him.
They all ran out of the hut and headed straight for the ocean.
Even Alfred's cold demeanor was replaced by pure laughter as he jumped into the water.
Silas looked at them from inside the hut, a slight smile forming on his lips.
Then, he turned to look at Sebastian, who was no longer beside him.
He sat calmly on a chair that faced Silas, looking at him with a smile on his face.
His legs were crossed over each other, one hand holding the cigarette in his mouth.
Silas also sat down, his face turning slightly serious.
"Good afternoon, Master Sebastian," he greeted.
"Hmm," Sebastian exhaled. Though unnecessary, he did it out of habit.
Then he finally spoke. "You know, 25 billion years ago, when humans had not gotten into the interstellar era, 18 was the legal age for anyone to do some things, like drinking, smoking, and so on."
He released a puff before he continued.
"But now, there is no such restriction, even a 3-year-old child is stronger than a 30-year-old man from that era."
As he spoke, he brought the packet of cigarettes from his pocket.
"Here." He handed Silas a stick and the lighter he always kept in his pocket.
Silas collected it and lit it with the lighter.
He took a drag. His eyes turned red from it, but it was nothing serious.
"Now, for why I asked you to wait," Sebastian said.
