Hinata was immediately taken aback by the young woman's words.
'Marry… me?'
Before he could wrap his head around the matter, the purple-haired beauty used the gun braced against the center of his staff to launch herself into the air. The force sent Hinata stumbling backward, nearly knocking him off balance. Before he could recover, the young woman flipped midair, her foot snapping up to strike the underside of his throat.
The woman landed gracefully as Hinata's body was sent airborne, as though weightless. She did not wait for him to fall. Stepping in, she drove the heel of her shoe into his gut and twisted, forcing the air from his lungs.
Hinata tried to take in a sharp breath, only for pain to tear through him. The injury at his left side, which he had barely managed to close, was reopened again.
His body flew toward a distant tree, smashing into it with a terrifying boom!
"Hina~," Goku whimpered, flying to his side. "Are you alright?"
"Do I look alright to you?" he barked, his voice grating like gravel. He gripped the tree's bark, barely able to stay upright. His vision was blurry now, blood pooling at its edges.
With a single thought, he activated Exemption, ignoring the pain that stung from where his chest was twisted.
The young woman walked toward him elegantly, like a noble lady taking a simple stroll through a courtyard.
The gun in her hand glistened under the moonlight, and when the wind blew past them carrying the stench of blood, she only smiled.
Hinata clenched his jaw. He had seen some things since entering this world, but this woman was by far the scariest.
"I can't believe you're still standing. From the looks of things, you don't seem to have awakened yet…"
With one step, the woman vanished and reappeared in front of him, raising his chin. "Such a pitiful thing. With your talent, you would have surely killed me if you had awakened. So tell me, how much do you want to kill me?"
Hinata could only let out a bloody grin and stare into the depths of the woman's eyes. He found himself captivated by their beauty, those hazy purple irises, but quickly snapped out of it.
'What the hell am I thinking?'
Just staring into her eyes made him feel like he had to grant any wish she desired, as if his entire existence was meant to serve her.
He took a breath, shut his eyes for a moment, then looked at her again with a completely indifferent expression.
"If you're going to kill me, do it already."
The woman's eyes widened before narrowing dangerously. She frowned slightly, her head tilting just a little. "Are you not afraid that I would actually kill you?"
"Yes, I am. But what does that have to do with anything?"
When those words left Hinata's lips, the woman's expression shifted, her lips pursing into a thin line. "I don't like you anymore. You look like someone who would annoy me."
Hinata smirked. "Well, you look like someone I won't like either. I'm not a fan of masochistic psychos."
The woman's jaw tightened. Without a word, she raised her other hand and pointed the gun at Hinata's head. "Take back what you said, or I'll pull it."
Hinata paused for a moment, but it was enough to make the woman's face brighten again. However, instead of saying what she wanted, he raised his middle finger. "Fuck off, bitch."
The woman stared at him for an instant with a dark expression, then the sound of a gunshot rang through the forest.
On the tree Hinata was pinned against, there was a small hole the size of a bullet, but no blood. The young woman who had been in front of him now stood with wide eyes, her jaw slack.
"What the hell are you?"
Hinata was still standing there, if that could even be called standing. His upper half was bent unnaturally to the side, as though his waist did not exist.
"How did you even think of that?" Goku yelled excitedly. "You're really a psycho, aren't you? Totally exempting your waist!"
Hinata, with a grin still plastered on his face, placed his free hand behind the girl's head and bashed her face against the tree with all the force he could muster before slipping out of her reach.
"How do you like your face being smashed? Pretty good experience, right?"
Hinata expected the girl to get mad and rush at him. Maybe then he could use Deception to get away. Instead, she just stood still, staring as blood dripped down her forehead and nose.
When she raised her face, Hinata's body went cold. An expression he could not quite grasp was on her face.
A mad, crazed grin.
She placed her hand on her face, a soft sound resembling a moan escaping her lips. Her cheeks were beet red, and her thighs were quivering.
It was like... she was enjoying the pain.
"Hehehehe…" her laugh started slowly before turning just as crazed as her expression. "That was amazing, handsome guy. That's the spirit."
She parted her legs just enough for the slit of her gown to fall open, exposing the extra gun strapped to her thigh.
"Now," she began, "I hope you aren't tired yet. Let's fight until we can't move. Let's dance under the moonlight and enjoy our sweet honeymoon, my dear darling."
Hinata had been feeling it since the beginning of the fight, but now he was sure.
"You're a fucking psychopath."
She giggled softly, pointing both guns straight at him. "You can say that again."
