In a parallel world, on the basement level of the Hau'oli City Department Store.
Amid the collapsed steel and concrete, there stood a special circular doorway. It was like a scar torn open in reality itself, with the surrounding space faintly twisting and warping. Even light that shone upon it was swallowed whole, leaving behind only a dim, indistinct halo of chaotic gloom.
This was the entrance through which Ultra Beasts came into the real world—the Ultra Wormhole.
It had no fixed shape, resembling a constantly spiraling vortex instead.
From quite a distance away, Silas could clearly feel a powerful pulling force tugging at him.
"So, Dia, as long as we get Guzzlord to willingly enter the Ultra Wormhole, that's enough, right?"
"That's right!" Dia nodded at the side, then frowned in distress. "Guzzlord is far too powerful, and it stKangly resists entering the Ultra Wormhole."
"That may not necessarily be the case."
Silas smiled mysteriously and released Kangaskhan first.
"Kang!"
Patting it, Silas said, "If Guzzlord doesn't want to leave later, Kangaskhan, just beat it up again."
"Kang~"
Kangaskhan nodded. It could beat up a sandbag again—yay!
The Ultra Ball was lightly tossed forward. As the rainbow-colored light unique to Ultra Beasts flashed, Guzzlord appeared among the ruins.
The moment it emerged, it let out an angry roar.
Out of the corner of its eye, it caught sight of Kangaskhan nearby raising its fists. Guzzlord's bloated body trembled, and a dull pain seemed to surge through its entire body.
"Guzz…"
It let out a low, subdued growl and noticed the Ultra Wormhole behind it.
Then Guzzlord looked again at the Kangaskhan stepping forward.
Actually…
It wasn't that resistant to the Ultra Wormhole after all. Having been out for so long, it was starting to miss home.
Under Dia's wide-eyed, jaw-dropped expression of shock, Guzzlord ran straight toward the Ultra Wormhole without looking back, getting pulled in by the powerful attraction.
Just as it was about to disappear, Guzzlord suddenly remembered that it was supposed to be a villain.
"Guzz… Guzz!"
(I'll be back, fools!)
"Kang?"
Kangaskhan widened its eyes and took a step forward.
"Guzz…"
Guzzlord's body trembled violently. I'm out, I'm out. It immediately rushed into the Ultra Wormhole of its own accord and left.
Back in its own territory, when it saw the Ultra Wormhole finally dissipate, Guzzlord wiped imaginary cold sweat from its small head in a very humanlike manner.
Phew! It didn't chase after me—thank goodness, thank goodness.
With how fierce Kangaskhan looked just now, it had almost scared it into peeing itself.
As the fear faded away, hunger once again took over.
Guzzlord extended its pincer-like tongue, grabbing everything around it and stuffing it into the enormous mouth in the center of its body, chewing nonstop with loud crunch, crunch sounds.
On the other side, after the Ultra Wormhole completely disappeared, the two of them finally left.
Along the way, Dia seemed to have something he wanted to say, but he didn't know how to bring it up.
In the end, Silas couldn't stand it anymore, stopped, and took the initiative to ask.
"Well, it's like this…" After organizing his thoughts, Dia said, "The ability you have to allow Kangaskhan to evolve again— is that something unique to your world?"
"You mean Mega Evolution?"
Silas raised his wrist, revealing his Mega Ring. "No, it's not unique. In my world, many people can use Mega Evolution."
When they arrived at the top floor of the department store, Noivern, which had been waiting there, happily flew over to rub against Silas as soon as it saw him, seeking affection.
As he stroked Noivern, Silas explained the origins of Mega Evolution.
After a while, having digested all the information Silas provided, Dia's eyes lit up. "So that means Mega Evolution also exists in our world?"
"It should."
After soothing Noivern, Silas mounted it and said with a sigh, "What surprises me instead is that your world hasn't discovered Mega Evolution yet."
"Dia, I'll be heading off first to try out my idea."
Noivern flapped its wings and shot into the sky, while Dia's voice echoed from below.
"Alright, Mr. Silas! The Ultra Rangers will also help you search for the island guardians."
Flying high in the sky, Silas directed Noivern to head in a certain direction.
At the same time, he was deep in thought.
He had arrived in this parallel world by accident while battling Tapu Koko. Since he could come here, he should logically be able to leave as well.
The only trouble now was finding Tapu Koko of this world.
"Noi…!"
Noivern let out a low cry in warning.
Coming back to his senses, Silas looked straight ahead.
On the mountain peak behind where he had once fought Tapu Koko, a black Pokémon was quietly waiting.
"That is…?"
As Noivern descended, he finally saw it clearly. "A shiny Tapu Koko."
Unlike a normal Tapu Koko, the shiny version was pitch-black all over, giving off a colder, more intimidating aura.
The moment Silas and Noivern landed, a bolt of lightning blasted into the clouds above.
Blue arcs of electricity crackled loudly as thunderclouds gathered and spread.
"Is it going to fight?"
Silas took out a Poké Ball. "Cyclizar, I'll be counting on you this time."
"Cyc~"
Cyclizar twisted its body and shot Silas a sideways glance.
It wore a small pouty expression—clearly sulking, and it wouldn't be fine unless coaxed.
"Don't mess around." Silas stepped forward and patted it. "The day after tomorrow, when we get back, I'll make you something tasty."
"Cyc!"
(I also want a little red flower!)
Not counting the ones previously owed, Cyclizar now had a total of two little red flowers, tying with Minccino.
"No problem!"
Seeing Silas agree, Cyclizar grinned mischievously.
It immediately jumped in front of him and transformed into its battle form.
"Cyc!"
Crackle, crackle…
Golden lightning suddenly struck Cyclizar, instantly triggering Lightning Mode as it transformed into Miraidon's form.
Its electronic eyes locked onto the Pokémon ahead—the opponent was no weakling.
Almost at the same moment, blue-violet lightning and golden lightning collided in midair above the mountaintop.
Wrapped in the clash of the two forces, a semi-transparent door appeared.
"Tapu~"
The shiny Tapu Koko glanced at it, signaling that Silas could leave now.
"Thank you!" Silas expressed his gratitude and recalled Miraidon.
He gently stroked its cold, metallic body. Miraidon's electronic eyes narrowed, and its tail, covered in flowing electricity, swayed back and forth, clearly in a very good mood.
"Let's go!"
"Rai!"
Miraidon transformed into its riding form. Just as they were about to enter the glowing doorway, a voice rang out from behind—it was Dia, panting heavily as he ran over, forcefully throwing something toward them.
Silas reached out and caught it, then lowered his head to look.
"A Mega Stone?"
[Dragonite Mega Stone: A mysterious stone. When held by Dragonite, it allows it to Mega Evolve.]
"This is a Mega Stone we've just discovered. We hope it can help you."
"I'll accept the gift. I hope you can protect your world."
Silas put away the stone and waved at him.
Miraidon transformed into a brilliant streak of lightning and charged into the light gate.
Only Dia was left standing there—no, not quite. There was also an electric cat Pokémon standing on the roof of the Pokémon School.
Dia clenched his fist, his voice firm and resolute. "I will. I will definitely protect our world."
Once again, blinding white light filled his vision. When Silas opened his eyes, he had returned to his own world.
Beneath him, Miraidon had reverted to Cyclizar's form.
Standing at a high vantage point and gazing into the distance, the football match at the Pokémon School was nearing its end.
The Melemele Emerald Team had successfully defended their territory.
"Cyclizar, let's go down."
"Cyc!"
(The little red flower!)
"I'll get it for you when we're back. Remember to remind me."
