Chapter 306 - Chapter 306: Pokémon Town, Gardens and Hot Springs

Magearna, Volcanion, and the group of Pokémon lingering at the outer edge of the camp all turned their gazes toward Silas. Their eyes were filled with confusion and puzzlement.

Silas gently pinched the fluffy ears of Cinccino in his arms and smiled as he began to explain his idea to the Pokémon.

In fact, the concept was very simple. It was somewhat similar to the Pokémon towns found in the world of Mystery Dungeon.

Silas pointed toward Volcanion and Magearna.

"You two could serve as the mayor and vice mayor. You would be responsible for handling disputes between the Pokémon living in the town."

He then began listing a few examples.

"Kirlia could open a shop. Hippopotas and some of the other Pokémon could start a construction company. Watchog could handle farming and agriculture."

Different Pokémon possessed different abilities. Silas simply gave a few examples.

As for how everything would actually be arranged, that would ultimately depend on the Pokémon themselves and their individual interests and preferences.

"Mage Mage~"

Magearna tugged gently at Volcanion's arm. She thought this idea was quite good.

Volcanion stared at Silas for quite a while before finally speaking in a low voice.

"I will think about it together with the others. And Magearna, do not trust humans so easily."

"Mage~!"

Magearna simply smiled. She turned around and walked toward the wild Pokémon gathered around the outskirts of the camp, asking them directly for their opinions.

"Silas… are you really planning to help them build a Pokémon town?"

After the discussion ended, Diantha quietly asked him.

"Of course."

Silas nodded without hesitation.

"These Pokémon all used to live with humans. Now they find it difficult to integrate into wild Pokémon communities, and they also cannot return to human towns. If that is the case, why not build a town that belongs entirely to them?"

Silas's suggestion was not made without reason.

Earlier he had asked Cinccino to help him question Magearna about the Pokémon gathered on the Nebel Plateau. It turned out that most of them could not reintegrate into wild Pokémon groups. That was why Volcanion had taken them in.

"Alright then. A town built entirely by Pokémon… when you think about it, that actually sounds very interesting."

"In that case I will help as well."

Without worrying about how Volcanion and the others would decide, Silas and Diantha simply sat beside the campfire. The flames flickered gently, and the shadows cast by their bodies leaned toward each other.

The next morning, before the sky had even fully brightened, Silas was woken up by Cinccino and the other little Pokémon.

Working together, the small group managed to pull him out of bed. Cinccino and Diancie even tried to help him get dressed.

When Silas suddenly felt a cool breeze below his waist, he instantly woke up completely and hurriedly chased away the two Pokémon that were trying to help him change his pants.

After squinting for a moment, and before Cinccino could ask Jigglypuff to sing him awake, Silas quickly finished putting on his clothes. Still half asleep, he walked outside.

The first rays of the morning sun passed through the thin mist between the forest trees and shone down upon him.

Silas stretched lazily.

"Good morning, Volcanion. Good morning, Magearna."

"Mage~~"

Silas greeted the two Pokémon beside the campfire while reaching out to gently pinch Jigglypuff's chubby little face.

After heading to the lake to wash up, he returned and began preparing breakfast together with Indeedee.

Halfway through the cooking, Diantha woke up as well and came over to help along with Gardevoir.

After everyone quickly finished breakfast, the entire day was free for them to spend as they wished. The meteor shower would not appear until nighttime.

The little Pokémon had already planned their activities for the day.

They wanted to visit Magearna's flower field and also soak in the hot spring.

Not long after breakfast ended, the small Pokémon began urging Silas to hurry up and leave. Diantha also joined them in encouraging him.

Leaving the Noivern and Dragonite behind to guard the campsite, the group followed Magearna toward the flower field.

Countless flowers of every color competed in beauty beneath the sunlight, and their fragrance filled the air.

Cinccino and the others all gasped in amazement.

There were many flowers there that they had never seen before.

"Cin~ Cin~!" (So big, so amazing. There are so many flowers we have never seen before. This place is even bigger than the garden belonging to the Florges sisters!)

Diancie, Jigglypuff, and the others voiced similar admiration.

After receiving Magearna's permission, the little Pokémon rushed happily into the flower field.

Diantha then stuffed a camera into Silas's arms and asked him to take photos.

Silas stared at the camera.

"Ah… I am the photographer."

While everyone else was happily playing among the flowers, Volcanion stayed far away as usual.

After Silas took several photos for Diantha and revealed his unique style of boyfriend photography, Diantha finally decided to spare him and handed the camera to Gardevoir instead.

Feeling completely relieved, Silas walked over to Magearna.

"Volcanion seems to be struggling with something."

"Mage, Mage~"

"Big sister Magearna says that Volcanion is troubled about whether it should really build the town."

Diancie stood beside Silas and acted as the translator.

"Would you like to make Volcanion feel a little happier?"

"Mage!"

Magearna nodded immediately. She wanted everyone to be happy.

Silas leaned closer and whispered something quietly into Magearna's ear.

Soon afterward Magearna began searching through the flower field. She carefully picked several of the most beautiful flowers and hid them inside her arms.

Then she slowly approached Volcanion.

"Mage Mage~!"

Just as Volcanion was still confused about what she was doing, the flowers hidden in Magearna's arms suddenly popped out and were held directly in front of Volcanion's face.

The pollen from the flowers drifted toward its nose.

Volcanion's nose began to itch.

"Achoo!"

With a loud explosive sound, the white steam surrounding the area burst outward from Volcanion's body.

Volcanion had sneezed violently.

It seemed that it might actually be allergic to pollen.

"I told you not to bring flowers so close to my face."

Volcanion tapped the large metal ball that Magearna had turned into.

Magearna's voice came from inside.

"I understand. I will let them vote and decide."

After visiting the flower garden, the next destination was the hot spring that Cinccino had been looking forward to all day.

They returned to the campsite first to bring along Dragonite and the Noivern.

The enormous hot spring created by Volcanion was large enough to hold every Pokémon present.

"Are you sure that is alright?"

Silas asked cautiously.

"Mage Mage~"

Magearna shook Volcanion's arm repeatedly.

"…Fine. But only this once."

"Draa~!"

After receiving confirmation, Dragonite cheered loudly and jumped straight into the hot spring.

Its massive body created a huge splash, drenching Cinccino and Jigglypuff on the shore like two soaked chickens.

Cinccino shook its drenched fur. Not only was it not angry, it instead squealed excitedly and jumped into the hot spring while hugging Jigglypuff.

Diancie, the Noivern, Arboliva, and the others quickly followed.

Each of them soon displayed expressions of pure comfort and relaxation.

Soaking in a hot spring was simply too wonderful.

Silas first placed a small swimming ring around Kangaskhan's baby before allowing Phione to bring it along into the water.

Only then did he step into the hot spring himself.

Meanwhile Diantha lingered behind for a moment.

She was changing into her swimsuit, and faint rustling sounds could be heard from behind.

"No peeking, Silas."

Her teasing voice drifted over.

Silas immediately stopped moving.

"I was not looking. Morpeko was the one trying to peek. I already held it down for you."

After waiting a moment, a graceful figure slowly stepped into the water beside him.

Her long hair was loosely tied behind her head, with a few strands resting gently against her neck.

Below that…

It suddenly became dark.

Silas could not see anything anymore.

Someone had covered his eyes.

At the same time, while everyone was enjoying the hot spring, an unexpected visitor arrived at the ranch.
