Chapter 35 - The Candied Hawthorn on Eula

Under Junze's guidance, the surrounding vendors gradually began promoting their goods to Ganyu.

"Beautiful young lady, would you like to take a look at our silk?"

"Miss, this piece of jewelry would suit you perfectly!"

For the first time, experiencing the merchants' "enthusiasm" directed at herself, Ganyu felt both helpless and a little delighted.

It seemed like she could slowly adapt to life here.

But why?

Ganyu lowered her head and looked at Junze, who was holding a candied hawthorn skewer and hopping about happily. A warm smile appeared on her lips.

Other than her good disciple, what else could be the reason?

Ganyu murmured softly, " Ze, thank you."

If not for Junze, she would never have experienced this so-called mortal prosperity at this time.

For a moment, Ganyu wished time could simply freeze here.

She accompanying him… no.

It should be Junze accompanying her, leisurely enjoying Liyue's bustling and prosperous night.

Junze could sense the joy of the person beside him.

If Master was happy, then everything he did today was worth it. That made him happy too.

Perhaps changing the thoughts in Ganyu's heart would be difficult.

Reconciling the conflict between her qilin bloodline and her human side would take a long time.

But Junze was willing to accomplish it little by little.

He did not want his Master to ever say again:

"Watching the clouds in Jueyun Karst is merely the loneliness of one person watching the clouds. Stepping into Liyue's sea of people is the loneliness of a non-human walking among mortals."

"Master, over there!"

Junze pointed toward the glowing lanterns in the distance and ran over excitedly.

"Ah! Ze, slow down!"

Seeing the child dash away, Ganyu hurried after him.

The surrounding pedestrians and vendors smiled helplessly at the pair.

Another mischievous child making his older sister worry.

"Master, come catch me!"

Junze jogged ahead, glancing back at Ganyu chasing him, laughing brightly.

This could count as giving Master a bit of nighttime exercise.

" Ze, wait! Wait! It's dangerous!"

"You'll bump into—"

Before Ganyu could finish her warning, it had already happened.

"Smack!"

Because he was focused on looking behind at Ganyu, Junze did not notice the person in front of him and crashed straight into them.

He and the person he collided with both fell to the ground.

A fragrance different from Ganyu's cool and distant scent rushed into Junze's nose.

He felt a firm and soft sensation, then landed heavily on top of it.

"Eula!" "Junze!"

Two female voices called out.

"Eula!"

The voice from Yanfei startled Junze.

He looked up and realized he was lying on top of Eula, and the candied hawthorn had stuck to her chest.

But that was not the most important thing.

The worst part was that his horn had just happened to press into Eula's mouth.

Through his horn, Junze could feel warmth and softness, along with a damp sensation.

In an instant, all the strength drained from his body.

Damn!

This trait made Junze cry out bitterly in his heart.

And Eula?

She had also been stunned by Junze suddenly crashing into her arms.

Subconsciously, Eula closed her teeth and bit down on Junze's horn.

"!!!"

Junze felt an intense jolt run through his entire body.

What kind of sensation was that?

It was like his head had been treated to a mild electric shock feast.

The child was nearly numb.

Enduring the pain in his horn, he hurriedly climbed off Eula and buried himself into Ganyu's embrace.

" Ze, are you alright?"

Ganyu looked at Junze worriedly.

Junze shrank his head and gently shook it.

Ganyu looked awkwardly at Junze's horn. It was glistening, and there was no need to say what that meant.

Then she cast a complicated look at Eula, who was still half-lying on the ground with candied hawthorn stuck to her chest.

She herself had never bitten his horn before…

How enviable!

Should she secretly try tonight…

Cough, cough, cough!

Ganyu quickly pushed away that inappropriate thought.

She was his Master. How could she do such a thing?

By now, Eula had stood up. She removed the candied hawthorn stuck to her chest, but the sugar residue had already stained her clothes.

She felt a slight headache.

She had just changed into this new outfit.

"Miss, are you alright? I'm truly sorry about what just happened."

Eula shook her head. "It's fine."

Ganyu let out a sigh of relief, then turned to Junze with a slightly stern expression.

"I told you to pay attention. See, now you've caused trouble for someone."

"I'm sorry, Master…"

Junze lowered his head obediently.

"You shouldn't apologize to me. Apologize to this sister."

Junze immediately followed Ganyu's instruction and looked at Eula with a face full of remorse.

"Older sister, I'm sorry."

Eula smiled faintly, crouched down, and patted Junze's head.

"It's alright. Older sister is fine."

Yanfei, standing nearby, smiled knowingly.

Although Eula often talked about holding grudges, when someone truly offended her, especially a child, she was in fact very tolerant.

"But next time, be sure to watch where you're going."

"Mm! I understand."

Junze nodded obediently, looking especially cute.

At the side, Ganyu's expression seemed slightly strange. She appeared somewhat unwilling for Junze to act like that toward others.

No. No. How could I think like that?

Ganyu scolded herself inwardly.

As she thought, she gently pulled Junze closer to her side and said to Eula, "Um, Ze dirtied your clothes. Let me take you to change into a new set."

She deliberately shifted the matter onto herself.

Junze glanced at Ganyu in confusion. He felt that Master was acting a little strange.

Eula waved her hand. "There's no need. It's not worth the trouble."

"But—"

Ganyu was about to insist when Yanfei's voice suddenly interrupted.

"Senior Ganyu, it's fine. Eula isn't that petty."

Yanfei placed her hands on Eula's shoulders as she spoke.

"Yanfei?"

Ganyu looked at her in surprise.

Eula smiled. "Since we all know each other, there's even less reason to mind it."

She glanced at the candied hawthorn in her hand and said helplessly, "What a pity. I can't eat this anymore."

Standing at the side, Junze thought to himself:

For some people, they might want to eat it even more, considering it was just stuck to…
