Chapter 52 - A Bottle of Coconut Milk Down My Throat

When Junze returned to Yuehai Pavilion, he discovered that Huixin was still busy working and had not noticed that he had left earlier.

Junze secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He walked to the cabinet and directly took out a bottle of coconut milk.

Although the system had been constantly sending notifications since earlier, Junze was still extremely hungry. He simply did not have the time to think about those things.

He needed to replenish his energy first.

"Gulp! Gulp!"

The silky coconut milk slid down Junze's throat and into his body.

For a moment, the entire room filled with the fragrance of milk.

Just like that, the large bottle of coconut milk was quickly finished by Junze.

Not wanting to waste anything, he even used his black mist to scrape the residue stuck to the inside of the bottle.

A Taotie never wastes food.

"Burp."

Perhaps because he had drunk too quickly, Junze let out a small milk burp.

Compared to the gigantic Taotie beast from earlier, his current appearance was cute by more than one dimension.

"Master's is still the best."

Master is good. Master is wonderful. Master's child is treated like treasure.

Junze looked at the empty bottle of coconut milk and sighed with emotion.

Those vishaps he had eaten earlier crunched loudly when bitten. Their bodies were covered in rock, and the texture was terrible.

It felt almost the same as eating dirt.

Even the black mist seemed to have trouble digesting them.

More importantly, those things were simply too low-level.

After eating so many of them and activating a larger version of Taotie Body, he had still ended up exhausting his own energy.

"What a loss."

Junze held the milk bottle with a look of someone lamenting his miserable life.

As the saying goes,

A bottle of coconut milk enters my throat, tasting all the bitterness and sorrow of Taotie life.

He would never do something like that again.

Junze opened the system while still smelling faintly of milk.

The only thing that could comfort him was probably the large amount of Primogem rewards.

[Missing Miners. Mission Complete.]

Reward: 60 Primogems

[Rescue the Miners. Mission Complete.]

Reward: 30 × 30 = 900 Primogems

Junze slapped his thigh and sighed.

"If I had known earlier, I should have let the Ancient Geo Vishap capture more miners. Then I could have farmed even more Primogems."

He suddenly felt that he had acted too hastily.

He had just missed out on a fortune.

"Gulp, gulp, gulp…"

Only coconut milk could soothe the frustration in his heart.

Junze picked up another bottle and began drinking again.

"But the other two missions are a bit troublesome."

Junze looked at the remaining vishap-related missions with a slight headache.

One was to investigate the reason for the vishaps' rampage.

The other was to investigate why they had dug so many underground tunnels.

Together, the two missions were worth a full 500 Primogems.

Junze was very tempted.

"Once Master returns later, I wonder if I will still have time to complete them."

Junze sighed and closed the system.

He was about to take another gulp of milk when he suddenly realized something.

There was none left.

A miserable expression instantly appeared on Junze's face.

"How did it run out already? I'm not even full yet."

When you were this hungry, finishing all the coconut milk so quickly was truly despair-inducing.

"Master, please come back soon."

Junze looked utterly pitiful.

Not long after Junze finished complaining, a figure appeared on the tall mountain behind Yuehai Pavilion.

It was Shenhe.

After confirming that the Ink Shadow Adeptus had left, Shenhe immediately hurried back to Yuehai Pavilion without stopping.

Then she saw Junze, who looked extremely hungry and was sighing there.

"The timing matches almost perfectly."

Shenhe stood on the high ground, slightly out of breath.

Her eyes narrowed.

Once or twice could be called coincidence.

But this many times could not possibly be coincidence.

Moreover, the child's current condition also made sense.

Even if the child was not the Ink Shadow Adeptus, he must be directly connected to that Adeptus.

After confirming this point, Shenhe nodded.

But then she froze.

The usually expressionless "Divine Maiden" revealed a look of surprise.

She suddenly realized something.

"But even if I confirm it… what does it change?"

Her task had always been simple.

If Junze ever committed evil deeds, she would help Ganyu do what Ganyu could not bring herself to do.

Yet no matter how one looked at it, Junze had not harmed anyone.

If that was the case, what was the meaning of finding the truth?

Shenhe looked down at Junze below.

Her cold eyes flickered with faint confusion.

"Why… am I so obsessed with the answer?"

Cuijue Slope

At this moment, Ganyu and Cloud Retainer had already arrived in front of Eula.

"Miss Eula?!"

Ganyu looked at Eula in surprise.

Seeing her leaning on her sword and nearly exhausted, Ganyu hurried over to support her.

"Are you alright? Why are you here?"

Eula forced a small smile.

"So it's Miss Ganyu. I'm fine."

"I originally came to check the mining progress of the ore being sent to Mondstadt, but I didn't expect to run into a vishap attack."

The reason Eula had come to Liyue was precisely because of a trade deal.

The goods that had been transported previously were purchased by Mondstadt.

Eula had followed Keqing to the mining site in order to inspect the ore involved in this transaction.

Recently there had been problems at the mines, so Eula was worried whether this batch of ore could be delivered on schedule.

She had not expected to encounter something like this.

A faint smile appeared on Eula's lips.

"But for me, it was also a fortunate event."

"Miss Eula, did you say something?"

Ganyu asked with concern.

Recently Liyue and Mondstadt were preparing for a large trade agreement. As a secretary, Ganyu was aware of it.

If this Mondstadt representative were injured, the deal might be affected.

Of course, Ganyu was also genuinely worried about Eula's condition.

"It's nothing. I'm just a little tired. No need to worry."

Eula forced herself to stand up.

At the same time, she noticed the crane standing beside Ganyu.

The other party radiated an unmistakable Adeptus aura.

"Greetings, Adeptus."

Eula politely greeted her.

Because of Junze, Eula's impression of the Adepti had become quite positive.

Cloud Retainer nodded and asked,

"What exactly happened here earlier? That Taotie. The giant beast from before. What was it?"

"And these unconscious miners."

Cloud Retainer pointed toward the miners behind them.

"Oh, so his name is Taotie."

Eula's mood suddenly lifted slightly.

Seeing Eula's reaction, Ganyu felt a sudden tightness in her chest for some reason.
