Sandrine woke up towards 5am as usual. She took off the splinters and stretched, sighing as she looked at Gribouille. Usually, the puppy woke up at the same time as her, but he might have overexerted himself yesterday while bringing back the golden chest, he was out cold. She didn't want to wake him up just yet, so she moved silently as she changed out of her frog onesie.
Gribouille had grown so much that his worm plushy seemed as big as a nail when he cuddled with it. He was also way too big for the heated dog bed he was using now. Sandrine had considered buying a mattress for him, even if it would take a lot of space, but finally decided against it. If things continued to evolve that way, Gribouille might grow too big and heavy even for a mattress. At some point, he might have to sleep in the makeshift stable with Paquerette and Flocon.
Anyway, she would worry about it later.
