Rhys' PoV
"Are you sure about this?" Jamie asked for the tenth time in the last hour.
"For all your fussing and asking me to get married, you sure don't seem excited now that I'm getting married."
Jamie rolled his eyes. "This isn't getting married. This is solving a problem."
"Solving many problems," I corrected.
Marrying Rena not only guarantees our cooperation for the next two years, it would also help me silence the Pack Elders who have been demanding a Luna for a while now.
"But you don't have to be the one marrying her. If you need to keep her close, she and Liam would be a good idea. It might even be a way to get him to stop sleeping around."
Jamie was creative with his ideas, but my brain couldn't even paint the picture of Rena marrying someone else.
That was another problem to be solved. I didn't know her well enough yet. I couldn't even tell why I wanted her around me so much.
But I knew very well that I wasn't going to watch her marry someone else.
