Chapter 7 - Life and death are predestined, wealth and Honor are determined by fate

Maiut Town.

Located on the eastern coastline of the Kingdom of Prodens, about two to three days' journey from the naval branch, it is a chaotic town with a permanent population of around 300,000.

Many pirate crews land in the Kingdom of Prodens here.

Therefore, the public security situation is very poor.

Fights and brawls can break out on the streets at any time.

There are numerous cases of clandestine human trafficking, robbery, and drug abuse, especially in the last two years due to the internal strife within the Kingdom of Prodens, which has led to a further loss of control in its various towns.

Although this town is dangerous, it also holds many opportunities.

Opening a tavern or hotel here can be profitable, as long as you have strong backing or have paid enough protection money.

After all, there are a lot of migrant workers every year.

Finger pistol basics.

Hermes was definitely going to come and put his skills to the test, and maybe earn some hard-earned money.

He had been poor before and needed to be careful with his money, and the town of Meyut was undoubtedly in line with his goals.

This place is teeming with snakes and rats; you could step on one even with your eyes closed.

"Ha ha ha ha."

"Fill it up."

"Boss, another shot of rum, please."

"Where's the pizza I ordered?"

"Where's my wine? Believe me or not, I'll tear your tavern down."

Walking on the bustling streets, you can see people everywhere with long knives or pistols at their waists.

Some are pirates, some are bandits, and there are various shops or street stalls on both sides of the street.

Hermes was dressed simply in a white shirt and black trousers, wearing flip-flops and with slightly messy hair.

He found the nearest tavern.

Upon entering the tavern, Hermes was nearly stopped in his tracks by the overwhelming smell of alcohol and unpleasant odors of sweat.

Various curses and noises buzzed around him like flies.

Environment is poor.

No one was paying attention to Hermes.

The waiters were busy running around, and people were yelling and threatening to kill someone or burn the tavern down.

They were vulgar and slovenly, lacking any of the manners and refinement a man should have.

Hermes' appearance was only glanced at by a few people.

After discovering he was just a little devil, they turned back to eating, drinking, or having a drinking contest.

Good luck.

There is also an empty table.

Hermes held his breath and made his way through the crowd.

He had only gone halfway when he looked down at the hairy foot that suddenly appeared beside him.

It was trying to trip Hermes and embarrass him.

Just looking for some fun.

"Hahaha, the little brat found out."

"Holls, you're stretching your legs too slowly."

"I'd love to see this little brat fall flat on his face!"

The people at the same table burst into laughter.

Hols wasn't angry when his friends teased him.

Instead, he laughed along, then downed a bowl of wine, pulled his leg back, and prepared to continue bragging and joking.

Under normal circumstances.

An eighteen or nineteen-year-old kid would definitely leave quickly if he encountered this kind of environment and this kind of teasing.

It would be good if he wasn't scared to tears by these fierce-looking people in the tavern.

Hermes' small stature made him seem out of place here.

His thighs aren't even as thick as other people's arms.

The disparity is too great.

"Huh? Kid, what are you still doing here?"

Hols turned around at his companion's prompting and found Hermes standing there, staring at him expressionlessly.

He looked somewhat resentful.

This scene attracted many people.

Most of them watched it with a mocking air while drinking.

Hermes is very aloof.

He's always been ruthless and taciturn when he's in the business.

There's nothing that can't be solved by taking action.

If there is, then take action a few more times.

By offending the most daring man in the future, this lowly henchman's fate was already sealed.

With lightning speed, Hermes concentrated his immense power into a single point.

Before Holmes could even react, his two fingers had already blinded Holmes and reached into his skull.

Blood and screams were the final, agonizing sounds.

The noisy tavern suddenly fell silent.

Swish!!!

With a flick of his right hand, along with some brains and bits of flesh, Hermes savored the taste of blood.

"I want to know the bounty on this guy's head."

The burly body crashed to the ground.

Thick blood quickly soaked the floor.

Hermes looked around, but he only cared about how much the bounty on this guy was.

"Damn it!"

"Holls!"

"You little brat, you're asking for it!"

The pirates at the table jumped up.

They drew their long swords or flaming spears and started wildly slashing and shooting at Hermes.

No one expected Hermes to make a sudden move.

He seemed very polite, but he suddenly erupted without saying a word.

Like a silent dog.

Insidious and ruthless.

Boom!!!

A bullet whizzed past his ear.

The blast of air made Hermes tense.

Luckily, he dodged in time.

But before he could make the next move, a gleaming longsword slashed toward his neck.

This is the current state of the One Piece world.

If they don't agree, they'll fight.

Life and death are decided in an instant.

Hermes swiftly dodged the long sword by sidestepping.

Instead of creating distance, he immediately closed in on the nearest pirate.

His right hand thrust out with lightning speed.

Hermes had been struggling and learning in this world for almost two years.

He was no longer the same as before.

"What!!!"

A heart-wrenching scream rang out.

Hermes stabbed his target with deadly accuracy.

The nearest pirate clutched his back and staggered to the ground.

His face twisted in terror as the shadow of death loomed over him.

Bang! Bang! Bang!!!

"Go to hell!"

Another pirate fired wildly at Hermes with a pistol.

This was the only thing that could truly threaten Hermes.

So he quickly rolled aside and lifted a table as a shield.

At the same time, two pirates approached.

One wielded an axe.

The other held a long sword.

Both began hacking at Hermes.

The tavern had a large open space in the center.

No one stepped forward to interfere.

Instead, they cheered.

Some even placed bets on whether Hermes or the pirates would survive.

"Chop off his thigh!"

"Fool, you missed!"

"This way! This way!"

The spectators only fueled the pirates' rage even further.

So many of them.

And they couldn't even handle one little brat.

Before long, another scream rang out.

Hermes' fingers were the sharpest weapons.

Once struck, they left a bloody hole.

Often in a vital spot.

Eyes.

Throat.

Kidneys.

He didn't use the Mini Fruit.

He truly enjoyed the thrill.

The feeling of life hanging by a thread made his adrenaline surge.

Too exhilarating.

At the same time, fighting in such an environment allowed him to improve faster.

"Go to hell!"

"Damn it, you slippery loach!"

"They ran this way! Are you even capable?"

"You can't even catch a little brat!"

As the battle intensified, the pirates grew more furious.

But the situation was very different.

Unknowingly.

Only three pirates remained standing.

The others were already lying in pools of blood.

Or struggling on the verge of death.

Hermes was also injured.

Blood covered his arms, back, and thighs.

His skin was torn open and his shirt was soaked.

It looked serious.

But anyone with experience could see the truth.

They were only superficial wounds.

No major arteries or bones were damaged.

Dancing on the edge of death always comes with a price.

"This kid seems to be using the Navy's Six Styles."

"That finger strength... it's like the Navy's Finger Pistol."

"Could this kid be a navy officer?"

Among the crowd, several pirates began to whisper.

But none of them were certain.

They had seen many things.

But not enough.

Boom!!!

"Ahh—"

The gunfire suddenly stopped.

The gunman clutched his bleeding throat.

He collapsed to the ground.

After twitching a few times, he died.

Hermes wiped the blood from his fingers.

Breathing heavily, he stared at the last two pirates.

His eyes were as sharp as knives.

Both sides stared at each other.

Even the spectators gradually fell silent.

Everyone knew.

The final battle was about to begin.

"Kill him!"

The two pirates roared.

Their faces twisted with rage as they charged forward.

That posture clearly showed one thing.

They were ready to fight to the death.

They had underestimated this kid.

Not only was he deadly.

He was also as slippery as an eel.

Always aiming for vital points.

His ruthlessness rivaled their own.
