Eloise looked out of the carriage window at the scenery unfolding as she neared her father's home. The familiar fields seemed to ease her mind already. All she needed was a little break to clear her thoughts before she returned to the estate in a few days.

Aiden opened the door for Eloise, but rather than offer his hand to help her down, his gaze was fixed on the neighbouring home where Millie resided. A loud noise carried across the quiet gardens, sounding as though someone were arguing with Millie.
