We got to Rachel's oval office as I shut the door with a bang.
"Hey take it easy… why are you so tensed, what's going on?" Her voice softened.
"I need my phone back.. Give me my phone Rachel.." I paced around the room.
"You need to be calm… here have a seat.."
I sat down and I figured there was no particular reason for my sudden anxiety.
She went to her desk and poured the whiskey sitting on the table into the glass cup. "Have a drink."
I gulped, all at once, to ease my mind.
The sore taste stung.
"Talk to me Alex, what's really going on inside of you."
"Because of how scared you made me, I almost wanted to involve external bodies. Which is a bad idea but seemed useful in that situation."
"I'm fine, can't you see." I put on a fake smile to end that conversation sooner.
"But when you and I were having a good time, It resulted to this… or I'm I too much for you?" Her voice dropped low and sad. An insecure version of Rachel started blooming.
